I. CHARACTERS

— Kim Seohyun :
She is our main character. The whole story revolves around her, and sometimes Jungkook's point of view, but it is mostly focused on her.

She is a sensitive, yet considerate girl who has experienced a lot in her childhood. She is still kind even after a lot has happened to her, and that is one of the reasons why it was hard to write her because I am not familiar of writing a soft and sensitive person/character.

She is an introvert who has trust issues with meeting new people. And, ever since she met Jungkook again, she felt scared because she thought that her own ex-best friend would just bully her up to the point where she can't take it and just burst.

Seohyun is also a cry-baby, if you've noticed. These are one of her negative traits since she is an emotional person. Her other negative traits are slight disobedience, and overthinking. But, overall, she's a sweetheart.

— Jeon Jungkook :
He is our lead male character. Though, the story may not be revolving around him, chapters fifty-five and seventy-eight do have his point of view.

Jungkook basically isn't Jungkook as seen in chapters sixty-nine to the epilogue. In basic words, Jungkook has an alter ego.

An alter ego is a person's secondary or alternative personality. No, this isn't a disease or mental disorder. This alter ego, who we should just call Jeongguk for no confusions.

Jeongguk is Jungkook's alter ego. Jeongguk is basically the bad boy, he doesn't give two damns about others' lives, and is pure selfish. He has his own dirty needs and just needs other people, specifically females, just to be satisfied and move on with this specific want or need.

Jeongguk was never soft for Seohyun. This is why you would see him (Jeongguk) becoming soft sometimes in the first few chapters of the book, meaning that Jungkook was pushing away Jeongguk away. The one who has bullied Seohyun was Jeongguk, and Seohyun's lover right now is Jungkook.

How was Jeongguk caused? Jeongguk was caused by peer pressure. As stated by Jungkook in chapter sixty-nine, he was somewhat pressured because he wanted to fit in with other people, he just wanted to fit in so that no one would bully him anymore.

Jungkook is a sweetheart. He is soft for Mrs. Jeon, Jung-Hyun (his brother) and for Seohyun. Seohyun is the love of his life. He has loved Seohyun ever since they were children, but due to peer pressure, he was pushed down and Jeongguk was shown so that he wouldn't appear weak to others.

Jungkook never wanted to bully Seohyun. He was just so desperate to have friends since his life was horrible during his childhood, too. He never meant to leave Seohyun, he never wanted to traumatize her, he never wanted to hurt her emotionally and mentally, he never wanted to hurt her in general.

Now, as stated in chapter eighty and epilogue, he is now Seohyun's current boyfriend. But, Jungkook becomes Seohyun's fiance and husband in the special chapter. This time, Jeongguk is still a part of Jungkook, but he isn't shown anymore.
