"Dad?" Jungkook called.
The male turned around, while my eyes widened even more. The male looked so much like Jungkook- that it was scaring me. I stood up in a hurry: lightning striking outside.
"Son." Mr. Jeon spoke. "Look at you, after six years, you're all grown up now. I raised you well, didn't I?" He boasted, proudly.
I glanced at Jungkook, to see that his face hardened. I was a bit scared as I saw his veins showing on either side of his neck, and he was popping his knuckles in a way that he showed he wasn't scared of Mr. Jeon- anymore.
"I did raise you proudly." Mr. Jeon boasted.
"What are you doing here?" Mrs. Jeon interfered. "You left six years ago, you have nothing to do with us, and we have nothing to do with you."
"What's wrong seeing my son?" He replied.
"I'm not your son." Jungkook roared.
"At this time?" Mrs. Jeon asked. "It is nearly midnight, and you decide to visit at this time? You could've at least come around noon."
"Or never come at all." Jungkook growled.
Mr. Jeon seemed calm. The girl stood beside him, looking around the house. I never saw the girl before, but it seemed that Mrs. Jeon knew her because Mrs. Jeon was looking directly at her.
"So you brought her, huh?" She asked. "I see her- what do you want to do? Shove all the things I can't be but she can, all up my face?"
I was shocked. Mr. Jeon burst into laughter, the girl didn't seem affected as she just gave Mrs. Jeon a cocky smirk. I heard Jungkook groan from behind me, which made me bite my inner lip in nervousness.
"Oh my god." Mr. Jeon spoke. "You are still funny as ever, Jung-Ra. No, I just brought her here because she wanted to see the house. I'm surprised ya'll didn't remove the old furniture."
Mrs. Jeon, or rather Jung-Ra kept quiet. Mr. Jeon smirked before he met my eyes. His smirk faltered into a cocky smile as he looked at Jungkook, who was standing beside me now.
"Who is this?" Mr. Jeon asked, referring to me. "She looks familiar, doesn't she, Chaeun?" He asked to his girlfriend (apparently), who looked at me.
I have never talked to Chaeun before. There would be times when Jungkook and I would walk past his house to walk to the playground, and I would see Chaeun leave their front door.
"She does." Chaeun answered. "I just don't know her name, but I saw her before. She is very pretty though, look at her."
I felt small under their gaze. That was when a laugh/scoff left Mr. Jeon's lips, his gaze never left me. "Is this a fling, Jungkook? I remember how you would come home from school, and tell multiple stories about the girls you've met."
Excuse me? I was taken a back. That was when Jungkook stepped in front of me, almost shielding me from Mr. Jeon. "She has nothing to do with what you are talking about." He answered.
"Funny." Mr. Jeon spoke. "I raised you well, Jungkook. She is pretty though- can't lie. She maybe someone who can give you what you please."
"Shut it." Jungkook hissed. All my nervousness washed away as sadness filled my system. Mr. Jeon looked at me like that? Like a fling? I looked at the floor, thoughts filling my head.
"Go back to bed, honey." Mrs. Jeon whispered. "Jungkook and I will deal with this, it isn't your battle to fight. Get some rest, good night."
I only nodded, turning around and walking back up the stairs. I saw Jungkook give me a glare before he turned back, arguing with his so-called father.
