"S-Seohyun, it's not what you think.."

"You're c-cheating on Dad?" .

"Honey, please listen-"

"Why w-would you?" I sobbed. "Don't you l-love him anymore? Is this the r-reason why you left all of a sudden? Don't you love us anymore?"

"Seohyun, please understand that I have needs, too. A-and, your father wasn't able to fulfill my needs."

"I can't believe you, M-Mom." I stuttered.

Tears violently rolled down my cheeks as choked sobs left my mouth. How could she? Why would she? Wasn't it always 'family first before anything else?'

I immediately end the call, not wanting to hear anything any more. I cried harder as I fell to the floor. My breathing was uneven, my eyesight was blurry due to tears, that I didn't have the energy to wipe them away.

That's when Namjoon burst the door open. I gasped for air as I turned around to face him. Namjoon looked shocked as he kneeled down on the floor and wrapped his arms around me.

"Hey, hey, shh." Namjoon whispered.

"What's happening?" Dad asked as he entered my room. I made eye contact with Dad before I started crying even more.

Dad and Namjoon were shocked as to why I broke down, but they didn't ask anymore. I sobbed even harder as Dad sat beside me on the floor.

"Can you tell us what's wrong?" Dad asked, his tone soft as he rubbed a hand up and down my back.

I shook my head immediately. I couldn't focus.

"Oh, Hyun." Dad muttured, "You can always tell us what is wrong, you don't have to be afraid of anything, just tell us what's wrong and we'll try to understand."

I've never cried like this before, it must be a shock to both of them. I never had a mental breakdown, but now was probably the time I'm having my first.

"Feeling better?" Namjoon asked after a few minutes of silence. I choked out a small, soft sob, swallowing a ball of saliva down my throat.

I gave a small nod, which Namjoon sighed in relief to. They both waited patiently for me to start speaking, which I appreciate because I was still having a bit hard time to breathe properly.

"M-Mom.." I started.

"Mom..?" Namjoon repeated.

"S-She.." I couldn't finish my sentence as I burst into another set of tears again. I never felt such pain, relating to family, that made me feel this type of way.

"When you're ready." Dad spoke, voice calm.

Dad handed me a tissue box. I gave him a weak smile as a sign of gratitude before I took a tissue, and wiped away tears that threaten to fall out of my eyes again.

"M-Mom.. she.." I started again.

Dad and Namjoon looked at me, curiosity visible in their eyes. I take a deep breath before exhaling slowly, calming my nerves that were urging me to say what I have to say.

"S-She has an affair." I breathed out, closing my eyes as soon as I finished the sentence. Silence circled around me, causing nervousness to spread through the bottom of my stomach.

Dad's face paled and his movements stopped. I felt Namjoon stiffen behind me. When I looked at Namjoon's face, he held the same expression Dad held: confusion and sadness. I bit my lip as tears welled up again in my eyes.

"I'm sorry." I spoke. "I-I didn't mean to.. I'm sorry, p-please don't be mad at me, I don't.. or didn't mean to.."

"No, it's okay, Hyun." Namjoon replied, his hand stroking my back in a comforting manner, knowing that this was hard news to digest.
