Two weeks until my birthday. Today is December 7, a Monday. Our Christmas break will begin on December 18, and I am honestly excited since the resume of classes will be next year.

I am excited since my birthday is really in two weeks, and my birthdate is December 21. I'll finally be eighteen: I am the youngest in our group of friends.

I entered the halls, and accidentally bumped into a student. The hit was hard as I fell onto the floor, and the student fell onto the floor too, the things he/she was holding: scattered all over the floor.

"Oh, I'm so sorry." I apologized, kneeling as I took all of the things and arranged them. I could hear a small clink on the floor, when I was about to look-

"No, it's okay." The student said. I looked up to see it was Jang-Yu. My eyes widened as I returned her things.

"Did I return everything?" I asked, looking around the floor in nervousness since I always felt nervous around her for some reason.

"Yes, you did." She replied softly, looking through her folders and papers. "Ah, I better get going, I'll see you later, Bye Seohyun."

That was when she disappeared down the hall, I was about to walk away, but a small clink and cracking sound was heard under my shoe.

I stopped in my tracks as I lifted my shoe up, to see a heart pendant. I immediately picked up, and was about to place it in my pocket, but I noticed that there was a small latch on the side of the heart.

I looked around, to notice students walking past me, so I slowly unlocked the latch and saw two pictures of two girls.

I could tell on the right was Jang-Yu, but due to the crack on the left, I couldn't see who was on the left side. I sighed as I looked at the clock to see I have fifteen minutes.

I then started walking towards the bathroom, I know I should have given the pendant back, but it would take a while to find her since she's a fast walker.

I opened the door, to see a few students inside. They only looked at me, before looking back at the mirror, continuing their conversation.

I took out some tissue from my bag, and wetted it with some water from the sink. I entered a stall and closed the lid of the toilet seat, sitting down on it and laying the pendant on my lap.

I took the wetted tissues and wiped away the dirt off the pendant's left side. The crack was half against that side, which was difficult because the girl in the picture was looking towards the the right: the crack covering her eyes.

I squinted my eyes as I brought the pendant up close to my face. I studied the pendant, before I heard the door open and close, and more chatter being heard inside the bathroom.

"I can't believe you, Jang-Yu. You lost your own pendant?" A girl's voice was heard.

"I must've dropped it." Jang-Yu replied.

"That's no excuse." A second girl hissed.

"Oh, won't you shut it." Jang-Mi? "Let her be, she will find that silly pendant of hers anyway, just be patient."

"There's no way it will magically appear."

"I didn't say it would." Jang-Mi snapped.

"Please stop." Jang-Yu begged. "Look, I'll just look for it, I'll just ask the janitors if they saw it as well, they probably picked it up."

"This is why I don't wear expensive jewelry."

"It's impossible." The first girl said. "I mean, there are tons of pendants out there, and the fact that ya'll names aren't even written on them makes it even harder to find!"
