p r o l o g u e

   "one more push left, delilah. keep breathing!" the nurse yells as the young woman screams out in pain.

   "and, push!" delilah pushes her baby out with all her might, she needed to meet her child. she holds on to the handle on her bed to keep herself stable.

   "the head's coming out, push harder!" the nurse yelled in a motivating voice.

   "you think i'm not pushing as much as i can right now?!" delilah yells, still attempting to push her baby out.

   she let out one final screech of pain before the head was finally out. the nurses pulled the newborn out of the opening, and cleaned it. not long after, the baby started wailing.

   "it's a [gender]." the doctors confirm.

   they hand delilah her baby, and the first time she laid eyes on them, she teared up with joy in her eyes.

   "what would you like to name them?" the nurse asks.

    delilah gave it some thought, before coming up with the perfect name.

   "i want to name them...y/n."

   "ah, such a pretty name!" the nurse compliments.

   delilah lets the nurses take you to get cleaned up more, while she looks out the small window.

   she smiles to herself, thinking that she was going to be the greatest mother of all. how she'd shower you with motherly love, how much bonding time you two would spend together. heck, even the clothes she'd style you in. all thoughts about the future made her forget about all the hardships that came before.

   this was it. this was where your story began.
