Book 4 ~ Chapter 11

After the War with Kuvira, as well as Varrick and Zhu Li's wedding, everyone went back to their normal lives. Just as they said, Korra and Asami left for the Spirit World to take their own vacation. Although, for some, vacation was the last thing on their minds. Bolin managed to get another job working for the Republic City Police. Fortunately, his designated partner was his own brother, Mako. It was only temporary, as Lei still had to work on Kuvira's court case and lead her unit. Chief Beifong was still on her decision on giving Lei her break but she needed all the help she could get and she proved herself during the battle a week ago. All in all, Lei was extremely busy. Mako and Lei continued to keep their engagement a secret, but in order to do that, she had to take off the ring to remain inconspicuous.

Somewhere in the Creeping Crystal Triad Turf, fights between the Triple Threat Triad and the Creeping Crystal Triad were escalating as different benders fought with each other.

"Show these good-for-nothing triple threats who owns these streets!" Jargala Omo, leader of the Creeping Crystal Triad orders as her followers fought offensively.

"Where's your new leader, triple threats? I bet he's too scared to show his face!" Jargala shouts not knowing a creeping figure lurking above the buildings watching the fight below him.

"We got them on the ropes!" One of the followers said, as he sent an earth column to one of the triple threat followers, "Let's finish them off!"

"Boss, the Creeping Crystals got us outnumbered! What do you say we skedaddle?" Two-toed Ping shouted, as he threw a fire punch.

"That strategy might have worked for your old leader but not me," the voice of dark shadow says, as he pulled out hook swords, "The fight isn't over until I say it is,"

The dark shadow emerges from the darkness, revealing himself as the new leader of the Triple Threats. He used his hook swords to swing from the pipe and dodge the earth bending attacks of two earthbenders. He landed behind them using his swords to hook their ankles and pulling it towards him, causing them to fall. Jargala earthbended a boulder towards Tokuga, however he dodges it by rolling to the side. He gains his balance and faces Jargala and the rest of her followers.

"The Triple Threats might as well give up now, Tokuga," Jargala shouts, as she levitates a rock above her hand.

"Make us," Tokuga taunts, Jargala throws the rocks towards him, but he quickly dodges them with swift moves. He runs up to her and chi blocks her left shoulder. He does the same to her other colleagues, all of them ending up on the floor, clutching their upper abdomen and arms.

"He chi-blocked us!" one of them groaned, Jargala kneeled on the ground, clutching her left arm. She looked up at Tokuga, who had a smirk on his face.

"Looks like the Creeping Crystals are the ones who should give up," Tokuga smirks, Jargala glares at him.

"Make us," Jargala says bravely, Tokuga scoffed.

"My pleasure, Jargala," Tokuga says, bringing his swords up. He was prepared to strike her when loud sirens suddenly screeched the air. A police car turned to the corner of the alley sharply, just as an airship hovered above them with Chief Beifong and her unit descending down. Tokuga glared at the sudden interruption.

"Time to go, Triple Threats," Tokuga shouts towards his colleagues. Jargala stands up with struggle.

"This isn't over, Tokuga! Creeping Crystals, retreat!!" Jargala shouts towards her gang, before they run away to escape the Republic City Police. Chief Beifong and the rest of the unit arrived on the scene. Gang members running off in different directions. Chief Beifong spots an escapee running away.
