LEIs POV
Mako and I headed to the station the next day to report what happened last night to Lin. She said we should go to Tenzin to inform him about it. We arrived at Air Temple Island, early in the day, not expecting to see Bumi doing the weird movements again in the courtyard. He was probably still trying to airbend again after what happened at dinner yesterday. Everyone else was outside as well, carefully watching Bumi. We walked towards Tenzin, who was beside Korra and Asami.
"Invisible spirit monster attack?" Lin joked, as she stopped in front of Tenzin.
"You won't believe this, Bumi just started airbending," Tenzin said, Mako and Lin exchanged looks.
"I'm afraid he's not the only one," Lin said.
"What?" Korra exclaimed in surprise.
"I got a call last night about a guy who just started airbending out of nowhere," Mako explained.
"We didn't think it was true until we got there," I added.
"You mean there's another one? Where is he now?" Tenzin asked curiously, as he stepped forward.
"He blew door down on me and got away, we've got all officers looking for him right now," Mako said embarrassed, before Lin started walking away. We were about to follow her until Korra spoke up.
"Wait, we'll help you look for him, where should we start?" Korra said, I smiled.
"Sure, that sounds--," I got cut off.
"Well, you know you should leave it to the police. Police business, you know. It's, uh, official," Mako stuttered, I raised my eyebrow at him.
"Okay, how you doing? You know, your welcome to sleep here instead of the police station," Korra said, as she and Asami took a step closer to us.
"No, I'm fine, I should, just um, get going," Mako replied awkwardly. Suddenly, he straightened up and looked at Asami and Korra with a serious look, I was still looking at him in pure confusion.
"So, as you were, ladies," Mako saluted, before following behind Lin. I looked at Korra and Asami who seemed weirded out as well.
"See you guys, later," I said, before following after Mako.
Once I caught up to him, I started walking by his side.
"What was that about?" I chuckled, he looked at me.
"What? Just casual conversation," Mako replied, I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Please don't tell me you don't wanna sleep here is because of Korra and Asami," I said, truthfully saying my observation.
"What?! No, I just, shut up," Mako said, I chuckled.
"Oh, Mako, you can't hide anything from me, I can read you like a book," I winked, he rolled his eyes.
Throughout the entire day, Mako and I kept searching for Dao, the man who can airbend. While searching, we heard news from Bolin that Korra actually came up with an idea to get rid of the vines sprouting everywhere, but it didn't really end according to plan. Korra was able to get rid of the vines but they grew back and spread even more, causing a whole building to be evacuated. I wondered how Korra must've felt, I haven't had a good sit-down talk with her in a while. It was already sundown, Mako and I were at the offices waiting for potential leads on Dao. We were about to call it a day when Mako got a call from a witness saying he was spotted at the bridge. Once, we arrived at the bridge, police officers were surrounding the man, who looked really terrified. Mako and I went to the front of the line.
