It was an early morning, the team were still on the search for Aiwei. Naga had lead the team into the middle of the Si Wong desert, which was the largest, driest, and hottest desert in the entire world. Lei tied her hair up for her to direct Kaya better and to keep her mind of the heat. At dawn, they were nearing to a small town up ahead from them, they approached the town and stopped beside one of the buildings, which where mostly built out of sandstone.
"Aiwei has definitely been through here," Korra said, as she petted Naga's head.
"Let's ask around, maybe someone's seen him," Mako said.
Everyone got off their rides and followed Korra inside a small bar. It was dark and the people who were in the bar were thugs drinking whatever they could. When they entered, everyone's eyes were on them. Lei raised her eyebrow wondering why they were paying so much attention to them.
"Oh! They have a mover poster of me! They must be big Nuktuk fans, I should probably go over and say hello," Bolin exclaimed, as he was about to go over to the group of people but was stopped by Mako.
"No, those are wanted posters and there's one for each of us," Mako said, as he gestured to the five wanted poster on the wall.
"Well, that explains why these people look like they're about to pounce on us," Lei said quietly, as she looked at the people staring at them.
"Wanted by her majesty, the earth queen, for crimes against the kingdom," Mako recited the words on the poster.
"I'm guessing this was because we took her airbenders," Mako added, as he looked at Korra.
Korra glared at the poster and said, "They weren't hers to keep! I swear if I ever see her pinchy little queen face, I AM GONNA--,"
"Um, guys," Asami said, looking at the people in the bar. Some of them stood up, already holding their weapons. Lei grabbed one of her dao swords, just in case any of them tried anything.
"We should get out of here," Lei said, as she stood in front of the group with a sword ready. Slowly, they left the bar one by one. Korra was the last to exit, before giving a glare to those people. They made their way back to the jeep, hoping that the thugs didn't follow them.
"That was close, we should keep moving," Lei sighed, as she put her dao sword back and mounted Kaya.
Korra mounted Naga, and lead the way for Naga to track Aiwei. They were on the road once more, in search for Aiwei. It didn't take them that long when Naga started running faster, which meant she had found something. Kaya started gaining speed and Asami started increasing the engine, as they followed Naga up a hill. Naga stopped in front of a few boulders.
"Naga found something!" Korra shouted, as she got off Naga. She earthbended the boulder to the side to reveal a jeep parked behind it. Naga nudged Korra for treats. Lei got off Kaya and made her way to the hidden jeep, with Asami, Bolin, and Mako following behind her.
"Oh, sorry, I forgot to bring treats but good girl," Korra said guilty, as she rubbed Naga's head, who slapped Korra's face with her tail before walking to sit beside the jeep.
"This must be Aiwei's jeep, he can't be far," Asami said, as they turned to Korra. They noticed that there was a place behind Korra, down the hill.
"Bolin and I will investigate the Misty Palms Oasis, and see if he's holding up there," Mako said, as they looked at the town that was down the hill.
"Yes! I love it when you talk cop," Bolin said excitedly, Lei rolled her eyes.
"I'll come with you," Korra said, Mako shook his head.
