LEIs POV

It was an early morning, and Korra dragged me with her to train with the boys. I brought Kaya with me, and leaned on her, a she laid down on the ground of the gym. Her fur was soft, but her shell was hard making it impossible to be comfortable.

"I'm annoyed. Why do we have to train in the morning?" Korra complained.

"I'm still mad at you for bringing me with you," I said.

"We're the rookies, so we have the worst time slot to practice," Bolin explained as he passed the ball to Mako.

"You're the rookiest of us all, which means you need more training if we wanna get into the championships so deal with it," Mako threw the ball at Korra.

"You deal with it," Korra said as she threw the ball at Mako, too hard. He fell. Korra smirked and I gave her a thumbs up.

Suddenly, the door opened revealing a man.

"There's my little hardworking street urchins," The man said. He came up to Korra and smiled. I narrowed my eyes and got up. I stood next to Korra.

"It's an honor to finally meet you, Avatar," the man said.

"And you are?" I asked.

"Butakha, I run this whole pro-bending shubang. Here are your winnings from the last match," Butakha said as he gave Mako a stack of cash. He smiled, huh, he looked nice when he smiled. Okay mind, stop there.

"Uh uh, not so fast, you owe me, so I'll be taking that, for the Avatar's new gear, gym and equipment rentals from last month, rent for your apartment, and a personal loan for the groceries," the man took all of Mako's money. Mako glared at his brother.

"What? I'm a growing boy," Bolin defended.

"Oh, and one more thing, the fire ferrets need to give thirty thousand yuans for the championship pot," Butakha explains, I widened my eyes.

"Thirty thousand yuans?!" Bolin exclaims.

"You've got till the end of the week to give me the money, or else you are out of the tournament," Butakha said before leaving the room.

"You don't happen to have a secret Avatar bank that's overflowing with gold, do you," Bolin asked with hope in his eyes. But it made me wonder, does she have a secret Avatar bank?

"I got nothing," Korra said. Well, that answers my question.

"I've never really needed any money. I've always had someone taking care of me," Korra said, I looked at Bolin and Mako who seemed off.

"You guys okay?" I asked worried.

"Fine, but then I wouldn't say you have nothing," Mako said bitterly.

"Sorry I didn't mea—" Korra was cut off.

"No, its okay, ever since we lost our parents, we've been on our own," Bolin said softly. I softened my gaze at the boys.

"Sorry, we didn't know," I said softly, Mako looked at me, and I could've sworn I saw him smile a bit.

"So, does anyone have any ideas on how we can earn that much money?" Mako asked. Everyone went silent, until Bolin stepped up.

"Oh! I know! I've been teaching Pabu some tricks recently, I know people would good money to see that," Bolin said happily, with Pabu sitting on his shoulder.

"We need serious ideas, Bolin," Mako said seriously.

"I am serious," Bolin tried.

"Don't worry about it, I'll figure something out, I always do," Mako said softly to Bolin, before walking away. I followed him as he walked out of the gym.
