LEIs POV
I had just arrived in Republic City. I gathered all my things and put them in my room, then I put Kaya in the animal keep with the bisons, while I go find Lin. I made my way to the police station, immediately. I entered a room, with small desks and detectives at work. At the opposite side of the room was a door, which was probably Lin's office. I knock on Lin's office door. After a few moments, Lin answers the door.
"Sorry to call you so urgently, but the turf war is damaging the peace in Republic City," Lin said, as I stepped into her office.
"I'm not surprised, I was actually waiting how long it would take Korra to cause a problem," I said sarcastically.
"Well, if you don't mind, I need a little help calming them down. Sudden fights between waterbenders pop up everywhere in the city," Lin said.
Suddenly, the door bursted open and an officer came in.
"Sorry to disturb you, again, but there's another fight in the docks," the officer said, Lin rubbed her nose bridge in frustration.
"Do you see what I'm talking about," Lin said pointedly. I nodded slowly.
"Meet us there in ten minutes," Lin added, the officer nodded and left.
"What do you say? Wanna be a temporary officer?" Lin asked.
"Sure, but I get to keep my outfit. I don't wanna wear what you guys wear. So, just give me the badge," I smiled, Lin rolled her eyes.
Lin and I made our way to the docks, only to see a few water benders having a fight. Lin immediately used her metal wire and whipped the group, splitting them into two and stopping the fight. Lin and I approach the group.
"Leave us alone, princess, this has nothing to do with you," one of them spat, I deeply sighed.
"Unfortunately, it does," I said, as I patted my officer badge on my chest.
Suddenly, one of them sent an ice spike at me. As a reflex, I got my swords and broke the ice spike before it could hit me.
"Stand down," I warned, Lin came to my side and went on defense mode.
Suddenly, a water whip went in between Lin and I, separating us. I jumped out of the way, and landed safely on another side. Lin took on the southern water tribe benders while I took on the North. I sent blazing arc by kicking my legs in an arc formation. Water suddenly attached to my leg, and I was pulled into the air and landed on the ground. I groaned since I was annoyed. I quickly stood up and set fire comets at them, and they easily got knocked down. Lin immediately used her metal wire to tie up and gather all the water benders into one group. Moments later, the other officers arrived and put the benders into the truck. Lin suddenly tapped my shoulder, I turned around and looked at her. She suddenly pointed at the end of the docks. There was a ship that had just arrived, and the people getting of the ship was Korra and the others. I immediately make my way over to them. When I was in their line of sight, they seemed surprised to see me.
"Lei!" Korra called happily.
I approach her and flicked her forehead with my fingers. She rubs her head in pain. I put my hands on my waist.
"What was that for!" Korra said angrily.
"I leave for only a week! And you manage to start a turf war!" I retorted.
"I didn't start a war!" Korra defended, I turned to Mako.
"And you, I specifically told you to help, Korra, not help her start a war all together," I retorted, as I pointed at Mako.
