Hope's POV: Turning over in bed, I frowned as a strangely familiar sound reached my ears. Sitting up, I whispered a spell as the candles next to me lit up, illuminating the room with a soft glow. Hearing the noise again, I frowned in confusion as I looked out the window at the night sky. Throwing the covers off me, I grabbed my candle off the table before walking over to my door, pushing it open cautiously.

Scanning the darken hall, I squinted my eye as I made out an outline of someone limping down the hall. "Hello", I called, watching the figure move further away from my room. Moving out into the hall, I moved to get a better look at the lurker before letting out a startled yelp as a sharp pain went up my foot.

Leaning against the wall, I held the candle near the floor to see what looked like broken glass everywhere. Ignoring the glass embedded into my left heel, I looked back up at the figure to see them paused a few feet a head of me. "H-hello", I questioned shakily, wondering when my breathing became uneven. "Kol, if this another one of your pranks", I muttered under my breath.

Glancing back down the hall, I turned back around before letting out a string of curses as my candle went out. Lighting the candle once more, I looked around, pausing as I noticed that the figure was no longer in front of me. A low giggle reached my ears, sending shivers up my spine as I searched the hall frantically.

Turning around, I froze as I dropped the candle to the floor, sending the hallway into blackness once again. My breathing spiked as I pressed my back against the wall, trying to get the image of the figure's face out of my head. They were standing behind me with they're head tilted to the side, and a wide, sinister smile on their face, showing off their sharp, pearly white teeth. "Hooooope", an eerie voice drawled out, causing sweat to trail down the side of my face as I slowly backed away. "Hope", they whispered behind me in my ear, causing me to freeze.

I breathed heavily as my clenched my eyes shut, praying to the heavens that this is some fearsome nightmare. "HOPE, RUN", someone screamed as I spun around, making out what looked like a tall, dark figure running toward me.

An ear-splitting scream tore from my mouth as I took off running down the hall blindly. Hearing the loud footsteps behind me, I felt tears spring into my eyes as my heart threatened to beat out of my chest. A loud laugh reached my ears before I smacked into something, sending me to the floor as a strangled sob escaped my lips.

Scrambling to my feet, I screamed fearfully as a hand grabbed my arm. "NO", I screamed as their arms encircled my waist, preventing my from running off.

"Hope! Hope, stop", they exclaimed, causing me to pause as the voice finally registered in my mind.

"L-Lizzie", I breathed shakily before throwing myself into the blonde's arms as sobs shook my body.

Lizzie's POV: I smiled to myself as I held the dress out in front of me. Grabbing a pair of scissors, I cut the final fabric before grabbing a hanger as a loud scream pierced my ears, causing me to drop the dress to the floor. Hurrying toward the door, I flung it open and stepped out into the hall before someone barreled into me, sending me crashing to the floor as I groaned painfully.

Holding my head, I slowly got to my feet to see Hope scrambling to hop on her feet. Grabbing her by the arm gently, I winced as a loud scream echoed off the walls before she turned around to bolt, causing me to wrap my arms around her waist as she struggled against me violently. What is her problem? Did I scare her that bad?

"Hope! Hope, stop", I exclaimed, causing the girl to pause.

"L-Lizzie", she breathed before throwing herself into my arms as sobs shook her body.

I felt my heart jump as I wrap my arms around her awkwardly. "Hope? Hey, what's wrong", I asked her worriedly. "You're scaring me. Tell me what's the matter", I pleaded as she clung tightly to my body.

"H-h-h-he was after me", she explained through her tears, causing me to inhale sharply. Hope is the strongest person I've seen in this place since I've got here, and seeing the girl like this has my blood boiling.

"Who", I demanded, searching the hallway as I got ready to fight off an army. "Uh...I don't see anything", I frowned.

"But he was here", she cried out shakily as my heart ached.

"Hope, there's no one out here", I explained. "The hallway is completely empty", I said, trying to peel her off of me, but she clung tighter.

"No! Don't make me go back there", she begged tearfully, causing me to bite my lip thoughtfully.

"I am so gonna regret this", I muttered. "Fine. Since Josie is staying at Penelope's place, you can sleep here", I agreed.

"Who's Josie", she asked, causing me to shake my head as I dragged my feet across the carpet, trying to get back inside my room as Hope dragged herself in behind me, refusing to let go.

Shutting the door, I moved to drag myself over toward the bed, before pausing when I noticed a trail of what looked like blood in the door. Looking over the girl worriedly, my eyes stopped on her feet as small droplets dripped onto the floor. "Did you hurt yourself", I frowned, causing Hope to finally pull away from me to look down at her feet.

"I'm fine", she sniffed, causing me to roll my eyes.

Grabbing her arm, I led to the bed before sitting her down to look over her foot, wincing as I spotted a large piece of glass stuck in her heel. Gripping it carefully, I felt her body tense up as I pulled it out, watching as the wound closed itself back up. "Cool", I smiled, grabbing a cloth off my desk as I wiped away the blood.

Getting to my feet, I helped her into bed as I turned to blow out the candles. "Y-You're not gonna leave are you", she asked hesitantly as I climbed into bed next to her.

"You're safe with me, I promise", I assured, watching her body slowly relax as I wrapped my arms around her securely.
