Trigger Warning!

Josie's POV: The sound of swords clashing is enough to set me on edge. I winced as Lizzie caught Conner's arm before jumping back in time to avoid a blow to the chest.I shook my hands nervously, glancing between Hope and Penelope, praying that someone will step in to help her.

No one did.

"Shh, it'll all be over soon", someone whispered, causing my eyes to shoot open in alarm before I noticed that was laying in what looked like an alley with a large man towering over me.

What's going on?

Where am I?

The last thing I remember is heading over to meet Lizzie in our usual spot.

I twisted my wrist, struggling to get free as his grip tighten around me almost painfully, causing me to let out a small cry. "No. Please...", I whimpered. "Please don't", I pleaded tearfully. "Let me go. Please, just let me go", I cried out as tears built up behind my eyes. "Lizzie! Liz...", I got out before freezing as a cold metal settled against my throat.

"Shh, don't say a word. Don't even make a sound", he warned, cutting open my top as silent tears streamed down my face.

I winced as Conner's boots connected with Lizzie's chest, sending her stumbling to the ground. I catch Lizzie's eyes briefly, but its enough to make her pause.

I caught the movement before the sound of metal hitting flesh tore through the air.

Lizzie's POV: I gasp, holding my stomach as I attempted to catch my breath. Looking up, I caught Hope's troubled look before noticing Josie's tearful eyes. "Lizzie", Hope yelled, causing me to turn my head toward her to see her looking somewhere behind me.

Turning around, I came face to face with...

Josie?

Frowning in confusion, I looked down before I felt my face drain of color.

"JOJO", I heard someone scream as Josie's knees gave out, sending her crashing to the ground.

I grinned, twirling the bags of coins in excitement as I made my way toward our spot.

Wait til Josie hears about this.

"Josie, you'll never believe...", I trailed off as my smile fell. "Josie", I questioned, taking an uncertain step forward as another small cry hit my ears. "J-jo...", I called, walking around the stack of boxes as a gasp escaped my lips. "JOSIE", I screamed, rushing forward before a sharp pain shot up my jaw, sending me crashing to the ground.

"Just when I thought my day couldn't get any better", someone laughed as I spit blood from my mouth. Breathing heavily, I slowly lifted my head as my eyes darkened dangerously.

Noticing that the man was shirtless, I felt my blood boil underneath my skin as I snatched my knife from my boot. "Come on then", I challenged as a cruel smirk spread across his face.

"Josie? Josie", I panicked, glancing toward the sword sticking out of stomach as she shook painfully. "Jo? Look at me okay", I pleaded, holding her head in my lap as everything else fell away. "You're okay. You're gonna be o-okay", I choked out as a tear slid down her face.

I coughed, hitting the ground roughly as blood flowed from my side. "Is that it? Is that all you got", he laughed, moving forward before kicking me onto my back. "I really should give you credit. No one has lived this long before", he admitted.

"Liz...", I heard Josie say shakily.

"L-li...Liz...", she coughed out shakily as blood ran down the side of her mouth. I shook my head, running a shaking hand down her face, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Jo...", I whispered, shaking my head pleading. "I...I can't-"

"Y...you ca...can", she gasped, wincing painfully. "K....k-kill h-h...", she got out as her eyes drifted shut, causing tears to flow down my face.

"Josie? Jo, open your eyes. Please don't do this to me. Please...", I cried, hugging her closer.

"Jo? Josie", I shouted worriedly only to get another kick to the stomach.

"L....Liz, k...kill him", I heard her say faintly as tears fell from my eyes.

"Josie, please...please open your eyes. Look at me", I begged as tears flowed down my face.

I looked up at Conner as fire flowed through my veins, causing my body to shake as I slowly got to my feet menacingly, ignoring Penelope's and Hope's presence altogether.

I could almost see him standing there.

Taunting me.

Could see the satisfaction from the pain in my eyes as I took a step forward.

"L-Lizzie, please...it was an accident. I-I didn't know that she was gonna-"

"Shut up", I snapped, snatching my knife off the ground.

"Lizzie?! Lizzie, stop! Lizzie", I heard someone yell faintly.

"Please, you don't-"

"I said shut up", I yelled, burying the hilt in his jugular as blood sprayed me across my face.

Looking up, I caught Josie's pain-filled eyes, causing me to freeze as she slumped to the ground.
