Lizzie's POV: Squinting my eyes against the sunlight, I stepped out of the carriage before turning around to help Josie and Pedro out of the carriage. I paused, watching Penelope hold her hand out expectantly, causing me to raise an eyebrow. "What are we twelve", Penelope scowled, hopping from the carriage with a huff, causing a satisfied smile cross my face.
"One of us is", Josie threw in, causing Penelope and I to glance at each other before shrugging carelessly.
I've been called worse.
"Any thoughts on how to break into the castle", I questioned. "Because I am not going through the sewer again", I added, causing Penelope to roll her eyes.
"Well, first, we need to get out of these clothes", Josie spoke up. "We don't want to draw to much attention, and the last thing any of us need is for the two of you to walk in there wearing that", she said, gesturing toward our outfits.
"You didn't happen to bring any extra gowns did you", I asked Penelope.
"I was too busy saving your life to be worried about an outfit", she retorted. "And I may be a witch, but I can't exactly pull outfits out of my ass", she threw back, causing me to smile in amusement.
"You don't have a stick up there do you, Satan", I snickered, causing her gaze to narrow.
"That's enough, you two", Josie told us sternly. "The longer we stand out here, the greater chance we have of being caught", she reminded. "And we can't exactly save Hope if we're dead", she pointed out.
"Well, what do you suggest we do, Josie? Because if you don't remember, our little makeshift home had a little run-in with a fire-breathing jackass the last time we were here", I reminded, causing Penelope to snort as Josie's eyes saddened briefly. "I guess you'll have to go shopping", I suggested, causing Josie's face to pale.
"Me? Why can't you go", she asked, causing me to look down at my outfit with an raised eyebrow. "Lizzie, I can't", she said, her eyes quickly filling with tears, before I pulled her off to the side.
"Yes, you can. You survived months without me. I'm just asking you to spend a few minutes alone in the market to get us a change of clothes", I told her quietly.
"Lizzie, please...", she sniffed, wiping at her eyes.
"Look at me", I whispered, taking her hands into mine. "You're the strongest person I know. No one can shoulder the burdens you bare, and you're always there when I need you the most", I stated, brushing away a tear with my thumb. "And you're not alone", I said, gesturing toward her necklace. "We got your back, Josie. I won't let anything happen to you", I promised, before Josie nodded silently. "And promise me to bring something back good", I winked, causing Josie to giggle as she smacked my arm playfully.
"I'm ready", she exhaled deeply.
"Don't get caught", I warned, causing a familiar smile to cross her face.
"Please", she snorted. "I think we both know who's the better thief here", she smiled.
"There's no way that you're better than me", I scoffed.
"We'll see", she grinned, causing me to narrow my eyes even as a smile spread across my face.

Penelope's POV: Standing by the carriage, I smiled to myself as I watched Lizzie chase Pedro around the grass and wished that Jed was here. He would've loved it here. My eyes saddened at the thought of my older brother before hearing something behind me, causing me to turn around to find someone petting one of the horses. Narrowing my eyes, I pulled my sword out of my belt before stepping forward threateningly. "Hey, get away from there", I exclaimed, causing the little girl to freeze. "Who are you", I demanded, stepping toward her threateningly, causing her to take an unsteady step backward. "Answer me", I ordered, before I felt someone grab my wrist.
"Hey, stop it", Lizzie glared, her eyes burning with a strange protectiveness. "Are you crazy? You can't just go around waving these things at children, Satan", she scolded. "What is she gonna do? Steal your coin purse", she scoffed.
"You gotta stop calling me that", I commented, rolling my eyes as Lizzie released my arms to kneel down in front of the little girl.
"What are you doing here, Alyssa", Lizzie asked her patiently, causing me to raise my eyebrows.
She knows this girl?
"Lizzie", she squealed, throwing her arms around the blonde. "I missed you", she smiled innocently.
"Alyssa", Lizzie sighed, pulling away from her, causing the girl's expression to fall.
"I overheard that you were gonna go save the princess, and I hitched a ride", she shrugged, refusing to meet her eyes. "I...I just wanted to help", she admitted, looking at the ground shamefully.
"This isn't a trip, Alyssa. You could get seriously hurt", Lizzie told her seriously.
"Why does he get to go and I don't", she huffed, gesturing toward Pedro. "It's not fair. I want to save Princess Hope too", she pouted.
"Fine", Lizzie sighed in defeat, causing Alyssa to grin. "But we're taking you straight home afterward", she told her sternly before the little girl threw her arms around Lizzie once more.
"What did you say about bringing kids into a war-zone", I smirked, causing Lizzie to send me a irritated look.
"Not a word", she warned, causing me to send her a mock salute.
"Yes, your highness", I said sarcastically, causing the blonde's eyes to narrow at the title before turning her attention to Pedro.
"These are for you", Pedro smiled, handing Lizzie a handful of flowers.
"Awe, thank you Pedro", she smiled. "Why don't you and Alyssa go pick some for Penelope", she suggested, smiling to herself as she watched the two run off.
"You're enjoying this aren't you", I asked, narrowing my eyes.
"A little", she admitted, standing up with a small spark in her eyes. "I just wish Hope was here to see it", she sighed, playing with the flowers in her hands. "If she'll even talk to me after what I've done", she frowned, her mood dropping.

Hope's POV: Pressing a hand to my head with a groan, I forced my eyes open as I looked around the stone cell in confusion. I squinted against the harsh light coming from a torch on the opposite wall as a faint ringing noise filled my ears. The last thing I remember is talking to Aunt Rebekah. Is she okay? Did something happen to her? Pushing myself up onto my elbows, I looked around the cell curiously only finding a small cot and a bucket. Staring at the bucket, I scrunched my nose up in disgust before slowly getting to my feet. "You must be the famous Hope Mikaelson that I've been hearing so much about", I heard someone say, causing me to turn around to stare at an oddly familiar blonde. "Oh, we haven't officially met", she smirked. "I'm Katherine", she said, causing me to raise my eyebrows as if expecting more.
"I thought you'd be taller", I hummed, unimpressed.
"You sound just like your father", she muttered to herself.
"I am my father's daughter", I reminded her, causing her to roll her eyes. "Besides, aren't you that girl from the street", I paused, trying to recall what Lizzie called her. "Anna", I asked.
"It's Dana", she corrected with a scoff. "And it's only temporary. Believe me", she sighed, looking over her body in disinterest.
"I thought you were a vampire? Vampires can't body jump", I frowned.
"But Travelers can", she reminded. "And I was a traveler before I became a vampire. You can thank your father for this new development", she said in annoyance.
"I'll make sure to send him a postcard", I hummed. "So, what's your plans here exactly? Because, I'd hate to disappoint you, but, the last time I've checked, I can't be killed", I told her with a bored tone.
"Are you sure about that", she chuckled, causing me to squint my eyes suspiciously. "You haven't noticed anything different since you've woke up", she questioned, causing me to furrow my eyebrows in confusion before finally taking note of how hungry I was.
"I'm in transition", I whispered, my voice shaking slightly.
