Unending darkness surrounds from every direction. A darkness so thick that it's impossible to see anything even if it was right in front of you. One would think that there's nothing here but something is here, or more precisely someone. Zato floats through this endless abyss with no direction. As he aimlessly floats a spark of light flashes within this darkness before fading, then it happens again, then again, and again growing bigger with each appearance. Then suddenly the light sparks to life erupting and spreading through the darkness until what was once a land of eternal darkness now is a vale of blinding light.
The light lingers for a moment before beginning to fade and in its place is a vast forest. As light shines through the branches of the trees it shines onto Zato's eyes which squint before slowly open.
"What happened?" Zato asks as he slowly sits up, rubbing the back of his head while looking around. However, as Zato sees his surroundings his face becomes confused when Zato sees the beautiful forest he finds himself in. "Where am I?" Zato asks as he walks toward one of the many trees within this forest and places a hand upon it. "No forest near Kouh is this nice, so where am I?" Zato asks out loud. "Hey, Shamir where the hell am I and how did I get here?" Zato asks but there's no answer. "Hey, wake up you overgrown lizard!" Zato shouts as he tries to summon his sacred gear but after nearly a minute of trying and it failing to appear Zato looks toward the tree his hand is still touching and tries to use the black dragon's power to consume it, but nothing happens. "The hell, this has never happened before," Zato states as he takes his hand off the tree and looks at the palm of his hand.
Suddenly the sound of a twig snapping in the distance echoes from behind him and Zato quickly turns around. Thinking that this may be some game set up by one of Kokabiel's henchmen Zato readies himself for a fight but instead of a battle-ready fallen angel, what comes running out the tree line is a child no older than six at best.
The boy has black hair scruffy hair, red eyes, and is running around with a smile of pour joy on his face.
The child doesn't even take notice of Zato as he continues to run around the small clearing Zato had woken up in. His arms are spread out to their maximum length and he starts making sounds similar to someone trying to jokingly imitate an airplane. Seeing as how the boy still hasn't noticed Zato despite running past him at least five times now, Zato takes a step and begins to speak.
"Hey, kid, what are you doing out here?" Zato asks as the child suddenly turns and runs toward him. Zato jumps at the boy's sudden turn but he braces himself for the coming impact but his eyes widen as the boy runs right through him like he isn't even there to begin with.
Zato's hand darts to his chest, which is where the child had run through and it's completely fine. No child-shaped hole in it and Zato's hand didn't go through it like how the child did. With wide eyes, Zato looks back at the child and gulps as a bead of sweat runs down his face.
"What just happened, that kid just ran through me like I'm a damn ghost," Zato says as he stands up straight and looks down at his hands. "Plus he didn't respond to me when I asked where we are. The hell is going on, did I die after my fight with Kokabiel?" Zato asks himself as mature masculine voice cuts through the mostly silent forest.
