A Knight's Requiem

Kiba kneels before the crystal as he looks down at the crystal, tears weeping running down his face before falling to the ground. His shaky hands slowly move to pick up the crystal, his tears fall upon as Kiba's eyes continue to leak. "E-everyone, I'm sorry." Kiba cries as the crystal slowly begins to shine. Suddenly the light envelopes Kiba and as it fades Kiba looks around to find himself in a pure white room, surrounded by about 8 people.

Kiba's eyes grow wide as he recognizes the faces of everyone around him. Those who surround him are the comrades he lost during the Holy Sword Project. "EVERYONE!" Kiba shouts as he shoots to his feet. The faces of all his past comrades being blank as they look at the knight.

Kiba's crying increases as he sees all his friends once more. "A-after everything that happened I've always wondered if it really ok for me to still be alive, even after all of you met your end." Kiba cries. "So many of you had such bigger dreams than I did. So was it really ok that I went on to live a peaceful life?" Kiba asks as he covers his eyes with his hands and tears leak through the gaps between his fingers. Sing this one of Kiba's friends approach him. A girl with long brown hair and emerald green eyes. As she approaches Kiba her leaps forward and embraces Kiba in a tight hug.

"Kiba, live." The girl says as she smiles while embracing Kiba. The knight's eyes widen as he sees the rest of his friends smiling at him and each one of them speaks before they start to glow.

"You better not get killed or else I'll kick your ass in the afterlife." (Boy 2)

"Kiba we're not mad that you're alive. We couldn't be happier for you." (Girl 3)

"If I was mad I would be haunting you, which I can totally start doing if you don't start living." (Girl 4)

"We've accepted the holy sword" (Boy 5)

"And while we can't do anything by ourselves." (Boy 6)

"We can do things together." (Girl 7)

"Our hearts." (Boy 8)

"Will always be one." All eight children say as they turn into light and blast toward Kiba. Once they hit him they go into his body. Kiba's eyes shoot open and as soon as they do he sees Freed about to swing his sword down at Felix. Kiba dashes forward and much to Kiba's surprise, he's fast. Faster than he's ever been before, as he dashes forward a white and black light appears around his hand. A combination of voices speaks in sync as that light begins to form a blade with a spiral white and black blade.

"This our gift to you Kiba. Us it to protect your friends and live your life. Kiba's eyes narrow and he grips the handle of the blade. as he appears between Felix and Freed.

"This is my Balance Breaker!" Kiba shouts within his head as he moves his blade to clash with Freed's. As the two swords clash sparks dance through the air and Freed looks surprised by the knight's surprise entrance into the fight.

As the priest and knight clash Valper's eyes grow wide as he gazes at Kiba's sword. "It can't be. That sword, it's the perfect balance of holy and devil magic." Valper says as he looks observes Kiba continuing to push Freed back.

Freed jumps back in order to make some distance between him and the knight but in an instant, Kiba follows and continues his assault. "When did this bastard get so fast?" Freed asks through gritted teeth. When Kiba lets up on his assault for a second Freed swings his blade upward but Kiba easily dodges to the left and then continues to his barrage of swings. Freed's own speed and instincts begin to fail him as cuts appear on his body and blood trickles from them. "DON'T SCREW AROUND WITH ME YOU BASTARD!" Freed screams as his blade changes its form into a snake blade. As the blade extends Kiba jumps back, avoiding the wide slash with no damage done to him.
