REPUBLIC CITY

Asami stood there, watching Korra from the distance. The moonlight formed shadows on the girls
toned body. It made Asami feel something burning inside of her.

The heiress was mesmerised by the younger ones beauty for a hot second before she snapped out of it. "Korra." she said loud enough for both of them to hear.

The avatar turned and looked at Asami. "You followed me all the way here?" she questioned.

"Yeah, I kinda have something to say to you." stated Asami. She bowed a moment later. "I'm extremely for teasing you earlier, I was being inconsiderate about your feelings. If you choose to never talk to
me again, I will accept it. But just remember that I will always love you."

Korra watched the heiress ramble in front of her. The sight was slightly amusing as she started to softly giggle.

Asami believed that Korra was giggling at her. With her head still down, she spoke up. "I'm extremely sorry, I promise you I am."

Korra sighed as she started to feel culpable. "Lift your head up." she commanded.

Asami lifted her head slowly, only to be caught by Korra's gaze. And when she did, it was like she was stuck in a trance. Same goes for Korra, they were both lost in each other's eyes.

To them, it was like everyone disappeared. Their faces were getting closer by each second. However, the heiress started becoming impatient and took the leading by crashing her lips onto Korra's. The blue-eyes girl immediately responded to the kiss, wrapping her arms around Asami's shoulder.

It was as if the their minds were one. They already knew what they both desired.

The avatar guided the raven-haired all the way to her home, with their lips still connected throughout the journey.

Once they got in, they were stumbling up the stairs. Asami already started to unbutton her shirt in the meantime, as they headed for Korra's room.

...

Korra and Asami were lying down on their backs. Both of them were butt naked, facing the ceiling.

"The moon is beautiful, isn't it." said Korra.

Asami blushed, she knew the hidden message for that statement. "Since when were you into poetry?"

"Wait you know the meaning of that?" asked Korra who was now embarrassed.

"I read a lot for a CEO, what'd you expect?" shrugged Asami.

Korra rolled her eyes and pouted. "I was trying to be suave."

The raven-haired tried to contain her smile. "I love you too."

The avatar chocked on air. She coughed a little before regaining her ability to speak. "Y-you don't have to be so straightforward like that."

"Your reaction is cute though." giggled Asami.

Korra just covered her face with her hands, since she didn't want Asami seeing her blush madly.

The silence was starting to become boring, so Asami quickly thought of a conversation starter. "Hey Korra.. can I ask you something?"

"Go ahead."

Asami gulped as she knew that she shouldn't be asking this. "What was that letter you were reading outside? You looked a little uneasy."

The atmosphere changed from a light one to a tense one in less then a second. "What letter?" Korra frowned.

"I'm not blind Korra." hissed Asami. "I saw you reading a letter outside."

"Ohh.. of course you did." said Korra. "I apologise for lying to you. But I think that it's best not to tell you anything."

"Do you not trust me?" blurted Asami.

The heiress got no response from her question. She sighed before turning to her side so that her back was facing Korra. "Whatever. Goodnight Korra."

"Goodnight." muttered Korra.

...

Korra woke up to an empty bed. Asami wasn't besides her, just like she had expected.

When she got herself all ready for the day, she headed downstairs to be welcomed by homemade food.

She was aware that Asami had left since she couldn't feel her presence. A note was laying on the table;

Thank you for letting me stay the night. I made you breakfast as a a repayment. I'll be extremely busy with work so I don't think I will see you for a while. I hope all is well for you.

Korra sighed before folding the letter and putting it in her pocket. She regretted not telling Asami that she trusts her. However, Korra believes that it is best Asami doesn't know what was on the letter.

It was actually from her former friend back in South Pole.

Yaran.

He had told her that he would be visiting Republic City soon since his parents are finally being lenient and letting him travel. And on top of that, he has something he needs to report to Korra.

Korra knew what he would be telling her. She had asked him to do research about a certain person. She believes that if she can deal with the issue in the shadows, nobody will have to know.

Yaran would be staying over at Korra's place. It wouldn't be something new for the two as they have shared homes(even rooms) before during their travel around the Earth Kingdom.

The avatar sat down and ate Asami's food. When she looked down, she realised that it was actually one of her favourite dishes. She blushed as she realised that even after everything, Asami still remembered.

Once Korra was done eating, she went outside to throw out the trash. She was in shorts and a vest, since she didn't plan on going out today.

When she got outside, a familiar car was driving her direction. She had recognised the the number plate as well. It took her a moment to realise that the car actually belonged to Asami.

The heiress took a glance at Korra who was staring straight at her. Both of them had no emotions portrayed on their face. All of that happened in a split second as Asami continued to drive away.

Korra shook her head. "I guess she really is upset about last night." she said to herself.
