REPUBLIC CITY

It had been a little more than a week since the last time Korra saw Asami. The heiress must have been telling the truth about how busy she would be.

Korra's friend, Yaran, was due to arrive the day after tomorrow. So she was a little busy herself as she had to clean her home and buy some groceries.

And on top of that, Korra was contemplating when to visit everyone at the temple. Since Yaran would be coming over, she wouldn't be as free as she was before.

AIR TEMPLE ISLAND

After hours of contemplating on what to do, Korra decided that it would be best to visit the temple today since she could just get it done with.

She had to knock only once for the door to be opened. But she was surprised to see that Rohan was the one who opened it.

The avatar crouched so that she was eye-level with the youngster. "What are you doing opening the door all by yourself?" she softly asked.

Rohan must've taken it another way as he frowned. "I'm the strongest here, I think I can open the door myself!"

Another Meelo, thought Korra.

She patted his head. "Sorry. Is your entire family home?"

"Yeah, they are meditating at the back. It's just me and mum inside here." said Rohan.

"Well can you take me to your mother? I wanna say hi to her." asked Korra.

Rohan shook his head. "We have a list of people who are allowed to enter our home. Is your name on the list?" he lifted up a piece of paper and waved it in front of her face.

Korra quickly scanned the list. It didn't take long for her to find her name as it was near the top. "Yeah, it's right there." she pointed at it.

"Korra?" Rohan read out. "Your Korra?"

"Yeah. You remember me? I use to play with you." said Korra.

Rohan's eyes started to sparkle. "Yes! I remember you. You use to let me sit on your shoulders, that was my favourite thing!"

"Aha I remember." grinned Korra. "So can I come
in now?" she asked.

"Yes." Rohan held is hand out. "Can you hold my hand?"

Korra smiled at the young one and let him old her hand. His small hands only managed to hold two of Korra's fingers.

"Maybe he isn't like Meelo." mumbled Korra.

Rohan looked at her. "Did you say something?"

"No. Let's go to your mother." said Korra.

...

"Mama!" yelled Rohan. "I brought a guest inside!"

Pema widened her eyes. "Rohan what did I tell you about bringing people inside? You need to tell me
or your father first!"

She jolted to check who Rohan invited. When she walked into the living room and saw Korra, her jaw dropped. It took her a moment to collect herself.

"Uh.. hey Pema?" Korra nervously waved at her.

The elder woman pounced onto Korra. She wrapped her arms around her tightly to the point that the
younger girl couldn't breathe.

"S-struggling to breathe.." Korra managed to spit out.

Pema let go off Korra. "Sorry, sorry. I just missed you so much. It's great to have you back."

"Thank you, it's great to see you too." grinned Korra.

"What's with all the ruckus?" yelled Tenzin from the hallway.

"Tenzin!" screamed Pema. "You'll never guess whose here!"

Tenzin rushed into the room immediately. Just like Pema, his jaw dropped when he saw Korra. It made Korra laugh a little.

"Hey Tenzin." Korra stood up and walked over to her former master.

"I-I cant believe your here Korra." he stuttered. "It's been so long, where have you been?"

"Hmm... I went back home for a while and then I travelled around the earth kingdom with someone."
said Korra.

"You got a new girlfriend?" teased Pema.

Korra shook her head. "No he's a boy."

"Boyfriend?"

Korra shook her head once more. "He's just someone special to me."

Pema was giving Korra the looks. She knew her limit on when to stop teasing but she couldn't help it. "Alright. Would you like to join us for dinner?"

"Sure."

...

"So Korra, have you met up with anyone else besides us?" asked Jinora.

At the dinner table was Korra, Tenzin, Jinora, Meelo, Ikki, Pema and Rohan. It reminded Korra of her days back when she first came to the city. It would just be her and Tenzin's family.

"No, I've met up with Mako, Bolin, Opal and Asami." replied Korra.

"Asami you say.." Ikki wiggled her eyebrows. "How was the reunion?"

"Uh.. it was normal." Korra shrugged although inside she was panicking.

"Are you and her back together now?"

"Ikki don't ask questions like that!" hissed Jinora. "It's none of your business."

"Thank you for being mindful Jinora." said Korra. "But no, me and Asami aren't back together."

"Aww.." whimpered Ikki.

Rohan looked at Korra. "Asami went coo coo when you left."

"Rohan!" yelled Pema. "Do not say such things."

"But it's true mama, she would randomly start crying and-"

Pema covered Rohan's mouth with her hand. "That's enough young man. We are going to the kitchen for a talk."

Korra watched everything play out in front of her. She was surprised to hear about what happened to Asami. The blue-eyed girl wasn't stupid, she knew what Rohan meant by 'Asami went coo coo'.

Was it my fault? Did I cause her pain? those were the words that were lingering in Korra's mind.

"Korra." called out Tenzin. "I know you must have lots of questions in your mind."

Korra looked at the bearded man. Of course she had questions but she knew that she was in no place to ask about them. After all, she was the same person who couldn't tell Asami that she trusts her.

"I'm sorry, but none of us can answer your question. It's not our place to tell you anything." said Tenzin.

Korra shook her head. "I wasn't going to ask any questions in the first place."
