AIR TEMPLE ISLAND

Korra felt anxious about going inside. She didn't want all the eyes on her, but that would bound to happen since she had brought a guest with her.

On top of that, she feels extremely guilty. Asami believed that her and Yaran were dating even though they weren't. She planned on telling them that Yaran was like the brother she never had. But now, she feels like there would be no point.

"Hello?" Yaran was trying to catch Korra's attention. "Wake up, Kya is calling us."

"Oh." she scratched her head. "You go ahead, I'll join you guys in a bit."

"Aww.. okay. See you around." he headed for Kya's direction.

...

"Hello!" Pema greeted Yaran. "You must be Korra's special person."

"Special person?" repeated Yaran confusedly.

Pema looked at the boy with the same confused expression. "Korra said that a special person would be visiting her."

"Oh. Well in that case, I guess I am the special person." he smiled. "You must be Lin, nice to
meet you." he then bowed at her.

Kya looked at Yaran with the an embarrassed look. "She's not Lin."

Yaran nervously laughed. "My bad."

"Your a funny one." chuckled Pema. "Come on in and meet everyone."

...

Korra was sitting on a bench outside. She was thinking about what Yaran said to her a couple of months ago. About how couples argue and how arguing makes their bond stronger.

"I wonder if me and Asami have that type of bond." she said to herself. "What am I saying, we aren't even a couple."

She felt time gradually pass and realised that she had to head back inside. She didn't want to ruin the dinner with her negative vibes so she was glad she could spend time outside to clear her mind.

Korra took one last glance at the moon. She then proceeded to go join everyone at the temple.

When she opened the door, all eyes were on her. She was surprised at how packed the room was. It hadn't been like this in ages. Even the new air bender were present at the table.

"I'm sorry that I'm late." she bowed.

It was quiet until Pema decided to stand up. "Don't be so formal!" she dragged Korra and made her sit between Yaran and Bolin.

"Hey Korra!" they both said at the same time.

"Hey guys." she faked a smile. "It's good to see you again Bolin."

Asami was sitting directly opposite Korra. She watched how Korra interacted with everyone for a while and realised one thing. All the expressions she was showing were all fake.

"So.." started Mako. "Why don't you introduce your friend over there to us?"

"Oh right." said Korra. "This is Yaran, he is from the Southern Water Tribe just like me. And he's a non bender."

"Asami is a non bender too!" blurted Bolin. "You guys would be great friends."

Yaran smirked when he heard that name. He looked at Asami who was sitting opposite them. "Hi Asami."

The heiress didn't want to seem rude but at the same time she didn't want to greet Korra's new 'boyfriend'. However she ended up giving him a small wave out of respect.

"Are you Korra's new boyfriend?" asked Ikki.

Korra chocked on her food. Both Yaran and Asami were quick to reach out for water. However, Korra ended up taking Yaran's since he was closer to her.

Asami scoffed and returned to her seat. She was starting to get annoyed by Yaran's presence.

"No Ikki he's not my boyfriend." stated Korra. "He's actually my younger brother."

The moment Korra said that, everyone suddenly stopped what they were doing. Asami and Mako both chocked on their foods, whilst others jaws dropped.

"Since when did you have a brother?" questioned Jinora. "You're an only child."

Korra started laughing. "Sorry I was just kidding. You're right, I'm an only child."

"But outside he said he's your boyfriend.." muttered Opal confusedly.

"He was just kidding. Right?" Korra glared at him.

"Yeah..." Yaran gulped. "We are just best friends!"

"I mean.. I'm 22. And he's 17. I don't really go for minors.." shrugged Korra.

"Your 17?!" yelled Bolin. "You look like your older then me!"

"Is that suppose to be good or bad?" asked Yaran.

"It's good!" yelled Bolin. "That means you can do adult stuff like drinking without anyone questioning your age."

"I tried to once, but Korra didn't let me." pouted Yaran.

Asami finally spoke up. "Korra went drinking?"

"It wasn't right now.." he reassured. "It was when we were travelling around the Earth Kingdom."

"You two travelled? Alone?" asked Asami.

"Yeah!" he exclaimed passionately. "She took me all over the Earth Kingdom, then back home and then she went somewhere by herself for a while."

"How romantic." scoffed Asami.

Korra could tell that Asami was angry but she didn't know why. The blue-eyed girl just clarified that Yaran is a minor and that she had no interest in him.

Opal diverted the attention as she was quick to notice the mood change in Asami. And for the rest of the dinner, nobody asked any more questions about Korra and Yaran.

When they were done eating, they realised that it started raining heavily. Returning to the main land would be dangerous, since the boats at the temple were the small ones. Pema brought up the idea of
letting everyone stay over.

"Will there be enough rooms?" asked Yaran curiously.

Everyone chuckled for a second at the confused boy.

"One or two of you will have to share but besides that, I'm pretty sure there is enough rooms." said Pema. "This is a temple after all."

"Oh right.." Yaran nervously chuckled.

Tenzin walked up to him. "Since your a male, you'll be sleeping on the boys side. Follow me and I'll show you your room."

"Pema, where should I stay?" asked Korra.

"Kya deserves the single bed since she's older then you" sighed Pema. "Is it okay for you to share with Asami or Opal?"

Korra gulped. "Sure.."
