A FEW DAYS AGO

Yaran pushed the paper towards Korra. "Here's a short summary about all the information I've collected."

"Thanks, I knew I could count on you." Korra grinned as she held the paper to her chest. "I'll be reading this ASAP."

"Yeah.. you do that." he sighed. "You know, we have to do something now. We can't wait until they attack first."

"I know." firmly stated Korra. "I didn't intend on making you fight though."

Yaran clenched his jaw, he was getting irritated. "Why? So you just want me to standby whilst you go get yourself killed?"

"No.. I won't lose this fight." Korra tried to sound as determined as she could. "After all, someone is waiting for me."

"Enough with the cheesy talk." Yaran fake to gag. "But for real, I'm not going to let you go into that battle alone."

"Fine." Korra finally gave into him. "There's nothing I can do to stop you, right?"

Yaran pulled her into a hug. "Of course, your like the older sister I never had."

Korra gulped when Yaran said that. He had a late sister who died when they were younger. That was the reason why his parents were previously so protective over him, since they didn't want to loose him too.

"Yeah," she returned the hug. "Your like a brother to me."

AIR TEMPLE ISLAND

Asami was visiting the temple. She needed to have some girl talk with Opal and Jinora as soon as possible.

When she got there, the two girls were already waiting for her at the entrance. Jinora stood by, whilst Opal practically leaped onto her.

"Asami! Let me guess why your here for. You need help with you and Korra's relationship?"

Asami rubbed her nape nervously, as a warm red tint appeared on her face. "Don't make fun out of me."

Jinora joined the two. "Why would we? We are here to help!"

"Thank you guys."

"No problem." she responded. "So what were you going to tell us?"

"Well I think..." she whispered the next part so quietly. However she forgot that she was sitting next to two air benders that have amazing hearing senses. "I love her."

Opal and Jinora looked back at each other and grinned. "Sorry could you that louder? I didn't catch it."

"I said.." Asami clenched her fists. "I love Korra!"

The two air bender girls started to smile and give Asami the looks. Suddenly, they stopped when they realised that there was someone standing not far from them.

Asami noticed their reaction and slowly turned around begging that it wasn't Korra. But luck wasn't on her side, since it actually happened to be Korra.

Opal broke the silence. "Oh hey Korra.. what brings you here?"

The avatar snapped out of her thoughts and plastered a smile on her face. "I'm just here to see Tenzin." That clearly was a lie, she came here to see Asami.

An hour ago, she visited the heiresses home. She wanted to spend some time with her. It had been days since their little moment at the temple. Her workers told her that she wasn't at home, and she was most likely at the temple. So Korra being Korra, immediately headed for the temple.

Asami had her head hung low. She didn't want Korra to see her so delicate and fragile. So without her being aware, her legs started moving, making her run away from that atmosphere.

"Wait!" yelled Korra, who wanted to speak to Asami. "Did I do something wrong?" she asked the two air benders.

"You being here is what's wrong!" lashed out Opal who quickly went after Asami.

Jinora caught Korra frowning and went up to her. She placed a hand on the girls shoulder. "Don't worry Korra, it's not your fault. Opals just worried about Asami, that's all."

Korra nodded hesitantly. "Okay.. will I be able to talk to her soon though?"

"Of course." nodded Jinora.

...

Opal found Asami sitting behind the temple. Her head was in between her knees, and it sounded like she was crying.

"Hey Asami." Opal sat down next to her. "What's wrong?"

"What if.." Asami paused for a moment to sobs "What if she thinks that I'm rushing things? I only promised her the other day that we would be going on a date and now I'm telling people that I love her!"

Opal rubbed Asami's back. "Korra's not a bad person, and we both know that. I'm sure she wouldn't think much of it. In fact, I bet she would have said she loved you too if me and Jinora weren't there."

"You think so?" Asami lifted her head.

Opal smiled at her friend. "I'm positive she would!"

The two sat there in silence after that for a couple of seconds. Jinora finally caught up with them, though she looked like she had just ran a marathon.

"Oh Jinora, where you been?" asked Opal. "Asami's calmed down now, thanks to me."

"Well.. I took a very upset Korra to the docks." shrugged Jinora.

This perked an interest to Asami. "What do you mean upset?"

"She was clearly lying when she said she came here for Tenzin. She came here for you, and you ran away. And then on top of that, Opal told her that it was her fault you were upset."

Asami glared at the air bender besides her. "You said what to her..?"

"Hey, hey." Opal gulped. "I wasn't thinking and I'm extremely sorry. I was already feeling guilty when I was running after you, and I badly want to apologise to her."

"You best apologise to her." frowned Asami. Tears were no longer visible. "So where is she right now?"

"I don't think she got here by boat... but she's probably back at the city." said Jinora.

Asami stood up. She knew exactly what she had to do. She needed to go after Korra. And when she finally catches up with Korra, she's going to confess. The heiress was tired of whatever they were doing. She realised that she wanted Korra to finally be hers.
