REPUBLIC CITY

Korra had been waiting at the docks for the past hour. She didn't know the exact time that Yaran would be arriving since he didn't tell her.

After a while of waiting, a Southern Water Tribe boat could be seen from the distance. Korra recognised it in an instant and leaped up from her seat. She ran to the wooden walkway as the boat kept

Luck was on her side. She could see her friend, Yaran coming down the stairway of the boat. He wasn't alone though. Next to him happened to be Kya.

Korra and Kya met in the Southern Water Tribe a couple of months ago. The elder water bender apologised to the girl and she forgave her since she didn't want to have a grudge on anyone.

"Korra!" yelled Yaran eagerly.

The moment his eyes caught on Korra, he ran and pushed past all the people in front of him. When he got to the girl, he gave her a massive hug. Which ended up lifting Korra's feet from the ground.

"It's great to see you too." chuckled Korra.

Yaran grinned. "Yeah! It's been a while."

Kya creeped up behind the two and wrapped her arms on their shoulders. "Well, it's great to see you too Korra!"

Korra realised that Kya was here and quickly gave her a short hug. "I'm sorry I didn't see you."

Kya shook her head. "I'm only messing with you, no need to apologise."

"So are you here to see me or to see Lin?" teased Korra.

Kya smiled at her. "Hmm.. what if I say Lin?"

"Then I would leave you right here." Korra grinned back at her. "Lin can pick you up."

"Whose Lin?" asked Yaran.

"Lin is-"

Kya elbowed Korra in the stomach which made her cry in pain. "Lin is someone special to me."

"Oh.." noted Yaran. "Will I be able to meet her?"

"Im not quite sure. Why do you want to meet her anyways?" questioned the possessive Kya.

Yaran nervously chuckled. "Well I just want to meet as many new people as I can whilst I stay here! I'm only here for a couple of weeks, it would be boring just being with Korra 24/7."

"Hey!" Korra pouted. "That's mean, don't be rude."

Yaran hugged Korra. "I'm only kidding!"

Kya walked ahead of the two. "I'll be going somewhere, you guys have fun!"

"Bye aunty!" yelled Yaran.

Korra watched Kya walk off into the distance. Once she was far, far away, she looked over at Yaran. "Well, what do you want to do?" she asked.

His stomach grumbled loudly. "Can we have dinner?" he asked shyly.

Korra giggled. "Of course."

...

Korra had a lot of money in her hands, so she decided to take Yaran to a fancy restaurant. It's not everyday that he would be able to eat at places like this.

"This place looks really expensive." his eyes twinkled.

"That's because it is."

Yaran's jaw dropped. "And how are you going to pay for all of this?"

"Don't ask questions." she hissed at him.

He lifted his arms up to show he was passive. "I'm sorry, please don't hit me."
