"Leave me alone." I whispered for the hundredth time.I was in a car. His car. And god knows where I was being taken to.
I was freezing even though the heater was on. The pain in my right shoulder was killing me to a point where everything around that part was going absolutely numb. It made me want to keep hitting my head on the dashboard to distract the pain as I felt myself going insane.
I turned to look at the one driving. His long slender fingers rested on the steering wheel as his face remained on the road. He sat there comfortably in his seat.
I kept saying the same thing over and over again, hoping that he'd stop the car and I'd be able to run away. But I wasn't entirely sure if that was physically possible for me right now after the little accident I'd just had.
The truck was almost at me but he'd pulled me out of the way just in time. He'd saved my life. How ironic.
The driver's words had hit me right in the skull when he'd shouted at me for being careless. All this time I'd managed to keep myself awake and sane but I wasn't so sure about the near future.
"Stop the car." I said, barely audible as my eyes were fixed on his hands on the gear. Instead of stopping, he stepped on the gas and I threw back in my seat.
This man is going to kill me.
-
We were still going. I couldn't even keep track of time as all my strength went into keeping myself awake. The last thing I wanted was to wake up at some random place, or even worse, die.
"Somebody ask this crazy man to stop the car! What does he think he's doing? This is kidnapping. I'm getting kidnapped! Again!" My brain shouted at me but I could do nothing about it.
I was barely sitting up in my seat. A groan left my mouth when the pain in my shoulder striked again.
This time, he turned towards me. He could clearly see that I was struggling to stay put in my seat and my hand was below my right shoulder, as if holding it is going to keep it in place.
He exchanged numerous glances between the road and then back to my side as he was driving at an insane speed. My head hung low as I whispered again.
"Please stop the car-" I almost cried.
The next second, I felt his body against mine, and he was reaching out for the seat belt. He tugged me in and I looked at him in disbelief. I mean safety comes first, but I was about to die and the first thing that comes to this man's mind is to put a seatbelt on?
I tried my best to keep my eyes open as all I could do was stare at the road ahead.
-
That's it. I'm done.
One more minute in this car and I'll be ascending to heaven. Or maybe hell.
I took one last glance at him. He was still driving calmly. No hint of guilt on his face. Bastard.
Okay. You can do this.
I mustered all the little amount of strength left in me. I had to sound scary. Deadly. I had to give him one last warning to stop the car and this time he had to follow. I'm not letting this man take me anywhere.
Taking a deep breath, I fixed my eyes on him. But just when I opened my mouth to speak, the car came to a sudden halt making me flinch a little.
I immediately turned my head to the window. I'd been too busy holding my shoulder in place that I'd lost track of where we were going. Not that I knew where we were going in the first place.
