"She has a date." Taehyung said.

"With me."

What the f- wait, what did he just say?

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know you were her boyfriend." Jase replied as he handed me the bag of groceries but I was too busy looking at Taehyung.

"Yeah, neither did I." He muttered.

"What?" Jase asked.

"Nothing. Are you done?" He turned to me and asked.

He didn't wait for a reply, though. He immediately grabbed my arm and started walking towards the exit.

Reaching out, he let go of me.

He sighed before turning back to me.

"I just said that because that guy was a little creepy and was asking you out. Nothing else." He gave me a faint smile.

Idiot. I'm an idiot. How stupid of me to think that he'd actually ask me out on a date. That day in the van, he'd clearly told me that he wanted to be nothing more than friends. Dumb. I'm so dumb.

"Oh okay. Thanks." I smiled and headed to my car.

TAEHYUNG'S POV

"I just said that because that guy was a little creepy and was asking you out. Nothing else."

Fuck fuck fuck fuck. Why did I have to ruin this??? I had one chance to ask her out and my stupid self fucking wasted it.

"Oh okay. Thanks." She said and gave me a small smile as she turned around and walked away.

I felt so guilty because she looked a little sad as she walked away. She didn't say bye.

But then again, I stood there like an asshole looking at her get into her car. I immediately snapped out of my daze.

It's not too late to ask her. Maybe I can still ask her. I want to ask her! I will ask her!

I rushed back to my car and drove. Her car was already taking a turn so I sped up a bit hoping I wouldn't get a ticket.

I drove and drove, following her car. Damn, she's fast!

Finally, her car stopped at a red light and I breathed a sigh of relief as I too stopped my car beside hers. She was surprised to see me.

I rolled my window down and she did the same.

Alright. This is it Tae. Go for it.

"H-Hey." I said.

"Hey." She smiled as she said.

"I- uh. Back there I didn't mean-"

The car behind hers honked and then I realised that the signal was green already.

"I know you didn't mean that. It's okay. Thanks for your help, that guy was actually a creep, thank you anyway." She said and drove away.

Great. I had, yet again, managed to make a complete fool of myself. Now she thinks that I want to be nothing more than just friends.

I texted Jimin that I was on my way back from the grocery store. We'd run out of groceries and we didn't want to order food because we'd stuffed ourselves enough with junk food in the morning.

I parked my car and took the bag of groceries that I'd bought and walked into the house.

"What took you so long?" Jimin asked, looking annoyed as he sat on the kitchen counter scrolling through his phone. He was waiting to cook dinner.
