Chapter 17: A date?

THIRD PERSON'S POV

"Are you drunk?" Was all Jimin could ask Taehyung as he gripped the steering wheel and stared at him.

"Nope. I'm completely sober." Taehyung replied calmly.

"Did you smoke something last night?" Jimin asked again.

"Jimin."

"So you're telling me that you're completely sane right now and that you like Sooyeon? Like as in that way?" Jimin asked.

Taehyung slapped Jimin's face back to the road signaling him to keep driving.

"Yeah. Why is it so hard to believe?" Taehyung answered simply.

"Because........." Jimin said starting the engine.

"I don't know. It seems kind of unbelievable when you say something like that. For all the time I've known you, you've only ever told me about one girl and that's Rosie, who then turned out to be your cousin, but that's not the point. It's a little shocking when I hear that from you." Jimin said, driving.

"That's exactly what I felt. And that is precisely why I'm telling you this. I need to know if this is just a tiny crush or...." Taehyung couldn't complete the sentence.

"Well, you need time to figure that out. And trust me you'll know it when it happens. You'll just know what it is."

SOOYEON'S POV:

"Hello?" I picked up my phone and put it between my shoulder and ear as I continued my multiplayer on my PC. I'd been playing games all day. I'd come home after shopping and it was already 3 pm.

"Hey Sooyeon. It's Maia."

"Oh hey Maia. How'd you get my number?"

"Jungkook gave it to me." I could feel her smile.

"Oh okay. Is there something you needed?" I asked as I knocked down the car in front of mine.

"Yeah. I wanted you."

"What?" I kind of said it too loud and fast.

"Oh I mean, are you free today? Can we hang out later in the evening?"

I was surprised at her offer because I barely knew her. We just talked a little yesterday night.

"Um sure." I said a little hastily. Going out again? I planned to chill all day today!

"Actually I wanted to know you more because you seemed so friendly back at the party. Also I'd love to know a little more about Jungkook." Again, I could feel her blushing hard.

"Oh if that's the case, I'm okay with it. But let me warn you, I don't know much about Jungkook either. I'm just a friend."

"This isn't all about Jungkook; I'd love to be friends with you."

"Fuck!" I shouted because I'd wrecked my car as I missed the dive with a teeny tiny distance.

"Pardon?" Maia asked over the line.

"Oh that wasn't for you. I'm sorry. I'll see you today then? Text me the address." I said.

"Okay. I'll be there by seven. See you." She said and hung up.

"When does this end?" Taehyung asked for the hundredth time as he tried to keep his eyes open during the ceremony. He didn't get proper sleep last night and all he wanted right now was to go sleep in his comfy bed.
