Two weeks later
"Are you done with 8th A, Sooyeon?"
I looked up at Ms. Mijin standing near the head desk of the class I was currently in. I was arranging the papers that I'd collected just a minute ago.
"Yes. Here are the papers." I handed the bundle to Ms. Mijin.
"You have class 11 B at 3. You can sit and help around in arranging the papers until then." She said and left.
It was March 7th today. My 21st birthday, and yet here I was, sitting and supervising classes back to back. I didn't have any plans for today anyways. I can't remember the last time I celebrated my birthday. I think it was back in 11th grade.
The past two weeks had been really good. I'd hung out with Taehyung and Ruhi a lot. I'd also attended Lee Hajong's conference, and honestly it was the best experience I've ever had. I'd spent almost all of my evenings at Taehyung's place. It had become like a routine. I'd head to his place after school and we'd do something or the other in the evening.
I hadn't told anyone about my birthday. But I think I might've mentioned it to Ruhi once when we had gone out for the first time. Also, I didn't want everybody saying 'happy birthday' to me for a whole of 24 hours and then forget that I even existed. I'm going to enjoy my evening in front of the TV with food. Lots of food.
I smiled as I got up and walked back to the staff room. There were already three piles waiting for me on my temporary desk. I poured myself a cup of coffee as I sat down and started arranging the papers.

"You. Over there, second last bench. You think I can't see what you're doing?" I said, walking up to his desk.
I was totally pissed right now. I'd spent the last two hours on the chair and my back hurt like hell. Also, I'd caught a dozen kids cheating and that was not helping my mental state at all because I was totally exhausted. At this point, I was ready to dismiss any student that I caught cheating.
"Hand me the chit." I said, trying to keep my calm and extended my hand.
When he didn't move, I said, "Give it to me now, or I won't hesitate in snatching the paper and you'll end up getting a zero."
He handed me the chit and I wrote a -5 on his answer sheet because that's what I had been told to do if I caught any student cheating.
I walked back to the desk and put the chit under my files.
After three hours, the exam was finally over and I tried to keep my eyes open as I arranged the papers.
Having gathered the papers, I walked to the staff room to submit them. I poured myself the fifth cup of coffee for the day before leaving the campus.
I got in my car and was taking small sips of my coffee when my phone buzzed. It was Ruhi.
"Hey Ruhi!"
"Sooyeon, are you done with your supervisions?" She asked. She knew that the school exams had started.
"Yes. I just got into the car. I'm still at school though." I said.
