My eyes shot open as I sat up quickly glancing around the room.
"Sam, Sam you're okay." I heard Mike to the right of me.
I exhaled.
"What happened?"
"You passed out, the nurse said it was most likely from exhaustion." He answered.
I looked down at my lap.
"What's wrong?" Mike asked.
"Nothing, I just want to get out of here." I said honestly.
"Yeah, I wanna go home too." He agreed. I didn't exactly want to go home. I just needed to be by myself, at least away from my dad.
"Nobody has called my dad yet right?" I asked worried.
"No, why? I'll go tell them to." He stood up.
"No Mike, it's fine. I'll call him when I am all cleaned up." I smiled weakly.
"Don't be silly, i'll go call him." He said and started walking away before I grabbed his hand, stopping him in his tracks.
"Seriously Mike, i'll call him. Don't let the others call him either." I said.
"Sam what's up?" He asked.
I opened my mouth to answer until Jess came in. Mike let go of my hand and Jess rolled in on a wheel chair since she had hurt her leg.
"Come on Babe, I want food." She said, she glared at me and rolled out the door.
"Mike." I said raising my eyebrow once he turned around.
He nodded his head and walked out the door.
A nurse passed Mike, walking in. "Samantha, you have a hurt hip and multiple wounds all over the body. Luckily, we can fix you up asap and have you ready to head home."
"Okay." There was a blanket at the foot of the bed and I pulled it up.
"Samantha Giddings." I looked up at two police officers.
"Yes?"
"Just a few questions about the following night. I need you to confirm what happened." One of them said. I nodded holding my hands.
"So, how did this start off?" The other asked.
"When we got to the cabin, I told the others I would be taking a long bath." The police officers continued nodding their heads until I was finished.
As soon as they left the room, I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in.
"Sam." I saw Mike at the door. Once again.
"What did you tell them, about me. Emily and I?" He asked clearly worried.
"I just said the truth, you didn't want to shoot her. You thought you would have been protecting everyone else." I stood up from the bed, wrapping the blaket around me.
"Okay, where are you going?" He asked again.
"Home." I said turning my head at a slight feeling of pain as I walked foward.
"You sure, I think you should let them fix you up a little better than that." He let a small laugh.
"I'm fine. I need to get home." I sighed.
"What's going on? You've been acting strange since we got back." He questioned.
"Listen, my dad isn't who you all think he is. He is... a- ... I-" I started.
Mike cut me off, "He's what?"
"Kind of, ab..abusive. He doesn't care about me the way I think he's supposed to." I said truthfully, I dropped my head.
