I woke up next to Mike on the couch. The tv was on and I looked around for the time. It was 5 in the morning.

I yawned quietly and grabbed the remote to turn off the tv. Mike was peacefully sleeping with his arm laid on the back of the couch behind me.

I stood up and stretched my arms out before turning my head to the see through front door.

The rain was splattering on the ground. A lot of Mike's house was windows, so I sat criss cross on the floor staring outside. It was gloomy but so peaceful and beautiful.

"Sam?" I heard Mike say quietly. I looked over as he stood up and turned around, rubbing his eyes.

"Hm," He walked around the couch over to me.

"I love that." He sat down beside me.

"Love what?" I asked. Me?

"That you like the rain." He said playfully bumping my shoulder.

I gave him a small smile. "It's just so peaceful. People always refer to rain as gloomy, unfortunate weather but it's beautiful."I explained in a low voice.

"You're right. Cold or hot?" He asked.

"Cold." I answered easily.

"I mean if we'd rather be hot, we wouldn't have went up to Blackwood Mountain for a vacation." He chuckled.

"Yeah." I laughed with him.

"Everything that happened that night.. It was so," He started.

"Unbelievable.. It was crazy." I finished.

"Yeah. You know, I have no idea how we managed to make it- how I managed to make it, but we're here." He turned his head towards me.

I rested my head on his shoulder. "Couldn't have done it without you." I added.

He lifted my face with his hand and pulled me in for a kiss. I deepened the kiss and Mike pulled away gently.

"Whoa whoa whoa what happened to taking it slow Sam Giddings." He joked.

"Sorry.. Sorry I don't know." I laughed leaning my head on my hand.

"Hey, it's okay. Don't worry about it."

I smiled at him.

"What should we do today?" I asked.

"Ashley and Chris were talking about that
fun fair." Mike said looking over.

"Yeah I saw in the group chat they added me to."

Mike laughed. "You're still in that?"

"Yeah. Why?" I said with a confused look.

He shook his head with a smile. "Nothing." Then he stood up.

"What is it?" I laughed with him.

"Nothing." He continued walking. "Nerd." I started running after him.

He ran up the stairs. "I was just kidding." He laughed even harder.

When I got up to the top of the stairs, he disappeared.

I tip toed in the hallways. Mike grabbed me from behind causing me to jump. "Mike let me go!" I chuckled.

"No can do," He came close to my ear and whispered. "Nerd."  I turned around slowly with a smile and placed my hands on the sides of his face.

I pulled him in for a kiss and he lifted me with his hands on my waist. I wrapped my legs around him as the kiss got more intimate. His hands held the bottom of my thighs, lifting me up further.

He started to walk forward towards his bedroom. When he opened the door, he placed me on the bed. He was gentle as he kissed me from my lips to my neck.

He looked up at me, "Where else should I kiss you?" I smiled before pulling him back up to my lips.

We made out for a few more seconds and then his phone rang.

He sighed heavily. "Let me get that." At this point, he was straddling me and he grabbed his phone out of his pocket.

"Yeah? Oh yeah we were just talking about that, we'll be there tonight, 8 o'clock. Yep, okay see ya."

"That was Chris, he was asking about the fair later." He dropped his phone on the bed and crawled back to me to kiss my lips while he caressed my cheek. He got off the bed and walked to his closet to pick something out to wear.

"Why'd he call so early?"

"I don't know, you know him. He was probably up all night playing video games." Mike snickered and took off his shirt.

I laid flat on my stomach and stared at him. He then took off his pants and put on some sweats.

He turned and looked at me laying in his bed.

"You waiting for me?" He asked. I nodded my head shyly.

Mike turned off the closet light and jumped in bed, pulling me on top of him. I giggled.

"Let me tell Chris to go to sleep so he can have energy later tonight." I chuckled as he grabbed his phone and started texting. He then dropped it back on the bed.

"Come here." He smiled down at me. I laid on his chest fully and he played with my hair.

The bedside lamp stayed on, lighting up a portion of the room and the wind blew hard against the house. I fell sound asleep on top of Mike. I didn't need a blanket as his body kept me warm enough.

My eyes opened quickly and I sat up. Wind still blew against the house. I sighed pushing my fingers through my hair.

Mike was still asleep. His phone sat beside me and I was tempted to open it.

"I have to trust him." I kept telling myself. He's done so much for me, it would be wrong.

I grabbed my phone and checked the time. It was 11am.

"Mike." I whispered shaking his body slightly.

He opened his eyes slowly.

"What time is it?"

"Only eleven. You can go back to sleep if you want." I stated.

"Pshh with you? Any day." He turned to me on his side.

I smiled and rolled my eyes.

"Is it still raining?" He questioned.

"No, just a lot of wind." I answered.

"Wake me up at six." He said with his hand on my shoulder. I watched him as he slowly dosed off.
