"nice house," I said as we got out of the car
"thanks our parents got it just for us," rowan said
"you guys don't live with your parents," I asked and I notice how rowan and esmeray shifted
"no," they both said and I could tell they didn't want to talk about it so I brushed it off and walked in the house with them
"I will be right back I'm gonna take my bags upstairs,"esmeray said as she struggled to get her bags
"girl let me help you," I said and grabbed some of her bags and walked upstairs with her we walked up into her room and it was so pretty

"your room is so pretty," I said as I placed her bags down
"Thanks," she said and she dropped her bags and we walked back downstairs
we walked into the family room where rowan and caiden were sitting and took a seat with them
'so what should we do," rowan asked
"mhm I don't let just chill for a little bit," esmeray said and I agreed
"so Cora why did you leave Cali that place is amazing with all the hot girls," rowan asked me
"um let's just say I was getting tired of the one weather seasons I been there for three years I missed my home my family my brothers the whole time I was there I still felt like I was missing something," I said
"three years I thought you were there only for like a year," esmeray said
"due to my really great grades my dad and mom thought it would be good for me to go to a school with good academics plus they wanted me to leave new york for a while I left as soon as I started ninth grade," I said and she nodded her
"so did you have any fun there any boyfriends or do you still keep in contact with any of your friends," esmeray asked me and my face shifted and I saw how caiden watched me
"I never had any real friends and he is dead to me," I said and cringe at the thought of my ex-boyfriend I know bys are forbidden but I mean I was away from my brothers so I took that as a chance to get a boyfriend and it was the worst choice of my life
"im gonna get some snacks you guys want some," esmeray said changing the topic thank god I guess she notices my mood shifted
"yea do have any cheez-its," I asked her I was craving some
"yea I will be right back," she said and walked into the kitchen and rowan followed her leaving caiden and me alone
"your lying," he said as soon as they left the room
"I don't know what you're talking about," I said while crossing my legs
"something else happens in California of course you don't have to tell us you barley know us but that okay your welcome to tell us when your ready," he said while looking me in my eyes

"but I mean of course love arent we all hiding something," he said and I bit the inside of my cheek
"yea but somethings are meant to stay hidden it could be better for everyone and keep people safe," I said and he gave me that sexy sinister smirk
"if you keep everything hidden for too long people could get hurt either way," he said and I rolled my eyes
"you may be right caiden maybe I am hiding something or maybe im just an awkward person who not capable to say what she wants to cause she afraid of what people think," I said and rolled his eyes and stood up and walked over towards me
he stood in front of me and landed over me and put his hands at each side of the couch
"your not a hard person to read I see how you carry yourself how you like to appear strong you hate for anyone to see you weak if something is bothering you you probably won't say anything but your face will show it," he said
I could smell his peppermint breathe him being this close to me was driving me crazy his cologne smelled amazing
"mhm you are very interesting Cordelia I want to explore you sometimes you are like a puzzle you change every day and I find it truly amazing," he said as he moved his hand he started to trace my arm and I felt goosebumps rise
he was so close to me yet he didn't touch me I really wanted him to touch me but in a swift movement he moved back and stood up straight and walked back to his seat I looked down at my hands because I couldn't meet his eyes I hate him who does he think he is
"hey were back oh um Cora are you okay,"esmeray asked me as and I looked up at her
"Why wouldn't I be," I asked her and she laughed
"you look like a tomato," she said and I laughed my face was burning
"oh yea im really hot," I said and I heard caiden snickered and esmeray looked back and forth at him and i
"um okay anyways let go to the movie room and watch a movie im think fast and furious," esmeray said and I jumped up
"let's go," I said and we all walked to the movie room

"This is nice," I said as I sat down on the couch esmeray sat on my right, and just for my luck caiden sat on my left, and Rowan sat on the bean bag
caiden was close enough to me that I can smell his cologne but not enough where we could touch
we turn on fast and furious and laughed at the jokes and ate or snacks after awhile since it was getting late the dropped me off at home and as soon as I got home a took a shower and took some sleeping pills and got in bed before I went to sleep I had my thoughts filled with a certain boy with gray eyes
