Lauren spent her entire life without someone by her side and now her family wants to bring it up.

"Mom, I told you I don't need anyone. I'm fine on my own." The raven haired woman spoke, sipping her beer.

"Come on, Mija I need some grand babies." Lauren rolled her eyes at this.

Just because she was the eldest of three doesn't mean she was having kids anytime soon. She was barely 25.

"Happy birthday, mi nieta." Lauren's grandma placed a box in front of her.

Lauren furrowed her eyebrows at this but tore open the wrapping paper, nevertheless.

Lauren was surprised to see a beautiful doll.

"Grandma..."

"You turn 25 at 11:27, right?" Clara, Lauren's mother nodded.

"There will be a better gift at your feet by then." Lauren was confused but put the beautiful doll in her room even though it was a weird gift to receive at such an old age.

When the party was over, Lauren got ready for bed and tucked herself in.

She lived alone in her apartment in Miami. She worked as a musician with many talents.

Lauren's eyes were focused on the tv when she heard a sound from her closet. (Where she put the doll)

"Oww, fuck." Lauren shot up at the voice.

She was hesitant but opened her closet door, despite her fear.

There stood a woman who seemed confused and dazed.

"Who are you?" As soon as her eyes met those of the woman's confusion and fear invaded her mind.

Lauren checked the time. 11:27pm.

The girl was a human version of the doll, the clothes she wore the exact same.

"Where am I?" The woman asked, looking around.

"Uh, I- you're in my apartment. Here, let me help you." Lauren reached her hand out to the woman, guiding her out of the closet with her.

"What's your name?" The woman seemed to be to focused on analyzing her surroundings.

"Y/N." The woman read the mark on her wrist.

It was her name, the name she was called when she was created.

"How old are you?" Y/N met eyes with the Cuban once again.

"24." Lauren couldn't help herself but reach out and touch the woman.

She didn't know if this was just a dream of if it was caused by the alcohol she drank but she had to know if this was real.

"What are you-" Y/N was cut off by Lauren's hand on her cheek.

"You're real." Y/N nodded her head, placing her hand over the cuban's.

"Yes, I'm real. But not for long." Y/N looked at the time.

"What do you mean, not for long?" Lauren asked, confused.

"I have two days. Two days to find someone to fall in love with. If I don't, I turn back into a doll." Y/N bit her bottom lip.

"Where's Grace? She made me, she has to know how to fix this or give me more time." Lauren frowned when her hand fell from the woman's cheek and to her side when Y/N moved away.

"Grace, she made you?" Y/N nodded.

"She saved me." Lauren bit her bottom lip and contemplated her options. She knew her grandma wouldn't be awake at this hour but there had to be some directions, some instructions that came in the box. Of course if this was all real.
