Lauren Jauregui's little sister...

Y/N Jauregui, only 14 when she was locked up for being suspected of killing her best friends at a sleep over.

She was locked up in a mental hospital for her horrible dreams, psychotic episodes, and acts of self harm.

The Cuban worked her butt off for years to work at the same hospital, becoming a psychiatrist to handle her sister.

What she found was heartbreaking.

The fourteen year old was now 17, but she was still the same size and had yet to go through puberty.

She was skin and bones, trembling in the corner as she went through another horrible nightmare.

Lauren knew not to touch the girl, not in this state.

She also knew that the girl probably wouldn't recognize her.

So, Lauren began to sing, slowly coaxing the girl out of her panicked state and helping her relax.

Y/N slept peacefully now, laid on the concrete floor of the quiet room.

She practically lived there.

The young girl was still trembling, but wasn't as restless as before.

The Cuban slowly left the room and returned in the morning.

As expected the young girl was wide awake, unable to sleep.

She hardly ever got more than 2 hours of sleep per night.

The girl always tried to stay up as long as she could to try to prevent any nightmares.

But once the clock struck 8am she crashed and woke up around 10.

"Y/N," Lauren tried, keeping her voice low.

The young girl instantly looked up, bottom lip trembling.

"Hey, baby it's me. It's Lauren, do you remember me?"

"L-Lo?"

"Yes, yes, it's me," the older woman immediately sat down with the girl on the floor.

It was then that then Cuban saw the girl's soaked bottom half.

"Oh, baby did you have an accident?" She asked, making Y/N's bottom lip tremble.

"No, no, don't cry, baby. It's okay, it's no big deal. It happens," Lauren gently helped the girl up by the hands, noticing just how small she was.

Y/N barely met Lauren's chin.

The Cuban was walking her to the bathroom of the quiet room when suddenly the girl stopped walking, squeezing Lauren's hands.

"Hey, what is it? What's wrong?" The Cuban asked, noticing how the girl squeezed her eyes shut.

Lauren watched tears fall down her sister's face and immediately knew what was going on.

"Hey, what is it? What triggered you? Y/N, talk to me, open your eyes," she cupped the girl's cheek, startling her away from her flashback.

She jumped and flinched, immediately tearing herself away from her sister's grasp.

"Hey, hey, baby it's me. It's just Lauren," the Cuban felt her heart shatter at the realization of how bad things were with Y/N.

Normal things like a bathroom triggered the girl which was probably why she had an accident in the first place.

She was scared to leave the quiet room, a safe haven of a place she found that didn't trigger her.
