A/n- I skipped The Beach, The Avatar And The Firelord, and The Runaway all because they center around specific characters and their development(The Fire Nation kids, Roku and Sozin, Toph and Katara) and have very little to do with Y/n and it would have been a waste of time for me to write them and for you to read them. Honestly I was gonna do the same with Sokka's Master but I didn't think of doing that until I was already through writing it so I wrote it anyway. Skipping these episodes will also get us to the western air temple faster and I have SO MANY plans for Y/n and Zuko i'm so excited holy shit. Anyways thanks for reading it means a lot and enjoy :)

"Suddenly, they heard something down the hall, in the dark," Sokka said darkly as they crowded around a fire. Sokka was trying to tell scary stories, though it wasn't going well for him and he seemed to be the only one spooked by his tales, "Ooooohhh... It came into the torchlight, and they knew the blade of wing-fun was haunted!" Sokka jumped up, wielding his sword and wailing like a maniac.

The group was silent. Y/n groaned and fell back into the soft, cold grass.

"I think I liked "The man with a sword for a hand" better." Aang remarked.

"Water Tribe slumber parties must stink." Toph grumbled.

"Southern Water Tribe slumber parties," Y/n corrected, sitting up again, "Yue and I were always livin' it up."

Sokka glared at her.

"No wait, I've got one," Katara perked up, "And this is a true Southern Water Tribe story."

"Is this one of those 'a friend of my cousin knew some guy that happened to' story?" Sokka asked as he shoved his sword into the ground and sat down with a huff.

"No, it happened to mom."

Sokka sat up straight, the rest of the group seemed to as well.

"One winter," Katara began, "When mom was a girl a snowstorm buried the whole village for weeks. A month later, mom realized she hadn't seen her friend Nini since the storm. So mom and some others went to check on Nini's family. When they got there, no one was home. Just a fire flickering in the fireplace. While the men went out to search mom stayed in the house. When she was alone, she heard a voice. 'It's so cold, and I can't get warm.' Mom turned and saw Nini standing by the fire. She was blue, like she was frozen. Mom ran outside for help, but when everyone came back Nini was gone."

"Where'd she go?" Sokka asked from his position behind Y/n. Somehow while Katara was telling the story, he had silently slipped behind Y/n and clung onto her arm in fear.

"No one knows. Nini's house still stands empty to this day. But sometimes, people see smoke coming up from the chimney like little Nini is still trying to get warm."

Suddenly, Toph gasped and threw her hands to the ground, "Do you guys hear that?" She exclaimed, her blank eyes filled with fear, "I hear people under the mountain, and they're screaming."

Y/n was suddenly crushed between Sokka and Katara as everyone but Toph clustered together in fear.

Sokka scoffed and released his hold on Y/n, who followed suit and slowly let go of Katara, "Nice try."

"No, I'm serious, I hear something." Toph said sternly.

"You're probably just jumpy from the ghost stories," Katara decided.

"It just stopped," Toph mumbled.

"All right, now i'm getting scared," Aang said, still clinging onto Katara."

"Hello children." An old voice said from behind the huddled kids. The four of them shouted and ran to the other side of the fire, clambering together in another huddle.
