As the sun was setting, the group decided to make camp in a clearing in the woods. They had flown the entirety of the last day and night to get as far away from Toph's home as possible, so everyone, especially Appa, was exhausted because sleeping crammed into Appa's saddle wasn't the most comfortable experience.
"Hey you guys picked a great campsite." Toph smiled as she set foot on the ground, "The grass is so soft."
"That's not grass, Appa's shedding." Sokka remarked as they unloaded the saddle.
"Oh gross." Katara winced at the fur covering the ground.
"What? It wasn't gross when it was attached to Appa?" Y/n laughed watching Katara try not to touch the shedded fur.
"Yeah, It's not gross, it's just a part of spring." Aang smiled, birds and butterflies coming out of nowhere to flutter around him like he was some princess, "You know, rebirth, flowers blooming, and Appa gets a new coat."
"Ahh the beauty of spring." Katara deadpanned. Just then Appa sneezed, sending a burst of fur into the air and all over the kids. "Stop! Appa, stop!"
"It's not that bad katara, it makes a great wig!" Sokka smiled, piling hair onto his head.
"And a great beard!" Aang said while jumping off of Appa.
"And a beautiful fur coat!" Y/n smiled, covering her whole torso in the fluffy substance.
"I'm just glad we finally have another girl in the group, you three are disgusting." Katara remarked as she wiped fur off her arms.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Y/n asked
"You're not the most... Feminine." Katara replied.
"Thank spirits! If I was then I would be boring like you!" Y/n laughed, the boys joining in.
Katara opened her mouth to say something, but before she could get the words out Toph walked over to the group, "Excuse me. Does anyone have a razor, because I've got some hairy pits!" She exclaimed, putting her arms up to reveal a large helping of fur stuffed into her sleeves.
The group doubled over with laughter. Aang laughed so hard that he inhaled his beard, causing him to sneeze, sending him flying backwards and the fur flying off of Y/n, Toph, and Sokka. Aang flew into Appa's leg and fell to the floor, more fur sticking to his back. The group laughed harder, even Katara chuckled a bit.

The sun was rapidly setting, so the group was quickly setting up camp. Aang blew up a tent with his airbending while Sokka and Y/n put together a fire and Katara cooked dinner. Toph lay against a rock with her feet up and a wheat in her mouth.
"So Toph, usually when setting up camp, we try to divide up the work." Katara explained to the girl
"Hey don't worry about me, I'm good to go." Toph shrugged.
"Well actually what i'm trying to say is, some of us might fetch water, while someone else might set up the fire pit or put up the tent. Even Momo does his fair share." Katara explained again. Y/n moved on to help the boys remove luggage. Aang tossed each bag down one by one. One to Sokka then, he would go put it away, then one to Y/n and she would do the same while he went to catch another. They were like a well oiled machine, working in perfect sync together.
"Katara i'm fine. I can carry my own weight." Toph ripped the wheat out of her mouth, "I don't need a fire, I've already collected my own food. And look," She earthbent a tent around herself, "My tents already set up."
"Well that's great for you, but we still need to finish-"
"I don't understand what's the problem here?" Toph interrupted.
