Y/n rolled over in her sleeping bag, it was two mornings after the incident with Azula and Zuko, and though seeing him again raised more questions in her head, something inside of Y/n also felt more at peace. Sure, her mind was still whirling over the prophecy, and the swamp, and seeing Iroh limp and helpless on the ground, and the way Zuko looked at her, but Y/n wanted to come at the issue from a different angle. This time instead of ignoring her worries by keeping herself busy, Y/n planned on ignoring her worries by relaxing and hoping she would somehow forget about them. And relax is what she did.

Yesterday, the morning after the incident, Katara and Y/n held a short waterbending pracice session with Aang, and after that Y/n gave them a short lesson on healing using Sokka as the dummy. The group decided to take it easy that day, they were all still exhausted from prior events, especially Toph who practically slept the day away.

The group decided to stay in the mountains because the rocky terrain would be great for Aang's earthbending lessons, which started today.

"Today's the day!" Aang's excited voice rang through the cliff side, snapping Y/n out of her thoughts. She, along with Sokka, groaned and yanked her blanket over her head, "Can you believe it?" He jumped off of Appa and landed between Y/n and Sokka, "After all that time searching for a teacher, I'm finally starting earthbending. And this place, it's perfect. Don't you think? Sokka?"

Sokka groaned in response.

"Oh you're still sleeping huh?"

Sokka groaned again.

"Well what about you Y/n?" Aang turned to face Y/n who was still trying to catch up on her extreme lack of sleep, "Isn't this just great!"

Y/n stuck her arm out of her sleeping bag into the brisk morning air. Finally her hand landed on one of Sokka's boots, he had a habit of throwing them off in random directions when taking them off. Y/n gripped the boot and launched it in Aang's direction with a grunt.

"You too huh?" He replied, easily dodging the flying boot.

Before Y/n could chuck the other boot in Aang's direction, earth began to rumble below them.

"Good morning earthbending student!" Toph's voice echoed from across the cavern.

"Looks like i'm not getting anymore sleep." Y/n groaned, sitting up in her sleeping bag.

"Good morning Sifu Toph." Aang smiled

"Hey you never call me Sifu Katara." Katara said, sounding slightly offended.

"Or me Sifu Y/n." Y/n muttered.

"Well if you think I should." Aang scratched the back of his neck.

Sokka shot up from his sleeping bag and began to mutter something about waking him up.

"Sorry snoozles. We'll do our earthbending as quietly as we can." Toph teased, before stomping her heal on the ground and sending Sokka flying into the air.

Sokka hit the ground with a thud and grumbled something about "running around and making noises" before hopping off in his sleeping bag.

"So what move are you gonna teach me first?" Aang jumped over to Toph, "Rockalanch? The trembler? Oh! Maybe I can learn to make a whirlpool out of land!"

"Let's start with, move a rock." Toph cut him off.

"Sounds good. Sounds good." Aang clapped his hands together.

After breakfast, Toph and Aang walked to a more open space to practice earthbending slightly further down the mountain. Katara elected to follow the pair and watch the lesson, while Y/n, who still had not left her sleeping bag, decided to go sit on the cliff side with Sokka.
