Atifa's pov:
I was in the kitchen with bhabi while his mom and other women were in the hall. Amira and Alayna had rushed to our room to play. They seriously reminded me of Emaan. Just thinking about her and how far we were from each other, made me sad.
Shaking these thoughts off my mind, I concentrated on what bhabi was telling me about as a scowl adorned her face.
"-thats why I told him that. But no, he doesn't want to listen to me!"
"Maaz bhai really didn't listen to you? That's a first bhabi." I grinned.
"What first? He never listens to me!" She shook her head.
"But it doesn't look like that." I shook my head, amused.
"He looks innocent too, but is he?" Snickering, she retorted.
"He isn't?" I raised a brow inquisitively.
"He is a devil in disguise! Seriously!" She muttered with a sullen face.
"Now that's too much. Surely he wouldn't annoy you that much?" Chuckling, I stirred the tea as it's aroma filled the air around us.
"Yeah yeah, you will say that. It's me who has to face his unique tantrums!" She popped a savoury snack in her mouth.
"I didn't mean that." I shook my head as a small smile played on my lips, refusing to leave.
"I know, I know. But you know what's the best thing now?" Clapping her hands, she grinned, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"What?"
"Now I can throw tantrums as much as I want without having to validate them again and again." She chuckled, a faraway look taking over her features.
"Why- Oh yeah. You are right." I looked at her in amusement, already pitying Maaz bhai for what he might have to face.
"I know right? I will take my revenge. He has annoyed me a lot, now it's my turn." She grinned excitedly.
"You are saying as if you have never annoyed him." Laughing, I shook my head.
"I haven't." She pouted, popping chips in her mouth.
"Really?"
"I mean, I might have annoyed him, but not as much as him."
When I kept staring at her with a raised brow, not believing her, she threw her hands in the air, exasperated. "Okay whatever! But it's my turn to annoy him now.”
"Ya Allah bhabi, you are crazy!" I chuckled, turning back to the tea pot.
"Oh I know, craziness runs in my veins." She winked with a cheeky grin.
"Then where's your blood?"
"Your brother burnt it all by making me angry time and again."
"Ya Allah bhabi!" I laughed, enjoying her company.
"Okay okay that's enough. Now let's head out with the tea or else everyone will think that instead of making tea, we are drinking it here." Letting a small smile slip on her face, bhabi shook her head.
"Yeah, you are right." A thought crossed my mind, immediately ceasing my grin. Biting my lips, I pondered upon that thought, wondering how to ask bhabi about it. My gaze flickered in her direction, and clearing my throat, I poured the tea in cups. "By the way bhabi…"
"Hmm…"
"That… Uh… You- You like Shanzay too?" I asked quietly, stealing a glance at her before focusing back at the work on hand.
