Saad's pov:
I was sleepy but couldn't sleep well after fajr. I kept waking up every once in a while, scared of the girl sleeping beside me. I didn't trust her. She had already tried to kill me and I couldn't take the risk again.
Although with her hair devilished, her chocolate brown eyes wide and her lips slightly parted under my hand as she stared at me in shock, she looked so scared that for a moment I just felt like…
What? No, I should focus on the matter at hand, not think about how beautiful she was looking. Forget about her beauty, was this girl for real? Did she really not remember me?
Finally after tossing and turning for a while, and managing to get half sleep, I decided to be productive. I could sleep early at night.
Freshening up, I searched for my clothes. They were in my bag. Yesterday after Isha, I went to my hotel with bhai and brought our stuff here.
I found it on the floor beside the couch. I was about to stand up when my eyes caught something else. It was a gift bag kept beside the table, behind the couch.
Squinting my eyes at it, I placed it on the table. As soon as I peeked in it, the sweet aroma of the cake hit my nostrils, making me realise just how hungry I was. My stomach grumbled, sensing that I found something to quench its hunger. Sitting on the couch comfortably and crossing one leg over the other, I opened the box and took a big piece out of it.
I devoured it without any care before deciding to share the remaining cake with others. It was delicious but I still had to do breakfast and skipping it might raise questions so it was better to avoid it.
Keeping the box aside, I took out my clothes before heading to have a long relaxing shower.

"Bhai, can I get some more?"
"No, you already had one piece. And you have been having lots of sweets since we came here." Pouting, she folded her arms and looked away angrily.
"Bhaijaan, Can I get some more?" It was Amira.
Smiling slightly, I nodded. "Yeah sure. Here you go." Giggling, she peeked at me from under her lashes before nudging Alayna. I raised my brow, what was happening here?
"Look, I got this cake for both of us." She whispered, making me glare at her.
Before I could protest, aunty interrupted. "Can I get some too?"
"Yeah sure. Here you go." I gave her a plate which she took with a smile. I saw, horrified, as she made her way to Alayna and handed her the plate. Alayna smiled brightly before showing me her tongue. It seemed like everyone was going to oppose me for her.
"Let her enjoy Saad. It isn't everyday that you get to have so many sweets." She ran her hand through Alayna's hair, a small smile playing on her lips as she gazed at them.
"But she has a cavity!" I tried to protest but of course, it was in vain.
"Oh it's okay, almost every kid has it. It's not something to fret over." She waved my protest off like a speck of dust, leaving me tongue tied. "And where did you get this cake from anyways?" She looked up at me questioningly.
"I found it in your daughter's room." I shrugged my shoulders nonchalantly.
Muttering something under her breath, she gave me an extra sweet smile, confusing me. "All the best."
"Ammi baithiye na." Amira pulled at her hand.
(Please sit.)
"Kaha baithu mai?" She asked her amused, making her smile sheepishly.
