Atifa's pov:

The next day bhabi came home with Alayna. It was almost noon when she revealed the actual reason for her visit, which reminded me that I had a lot of questions to ask her.

Yesterday's night was a restless one. I couldn't stop thinking about whatever I heard. And although he hadn't said yes yet, I still couldn't stop thinking about it. I kept wondering whether he liked her or not, and if he did, then what was he planning to do next? Would he finally divorce me? But didn't he say that he would never do that? Then what was the matter now? What was he planning now? Was he planning to tell his parents everything or would he go ahead with his parents' choice? Just thinking about it once again was giving me a headache.

"Guess what I'm here for?" Bhabi chirped, excitement leaking in her voice.

"To meet me?"

"Yaar, yes that's true, but there could be some other reason too, right?" She pouted.

"Uh... yeah, I guess?" I replied skeptically, wondering where this conversation was heading.

"Okay let me tell you. Saad asked me to get you ready for a date." She smirked mischievously, watching my expression change.

"Huh? A wh- what? You are kidding me, right?" My cheeks changed to the faintest shade of pink as I looked at her incredulously, unable to believe it.

"A date. And no, I'm not kidding you babes." She winked.

"But I can't believe you, you know." I shook my head, frowning. It seemed impossible.

"Even I can't believe myself." She sighed in disappointment. Watching my confused expression, she explained. "He didn't exactly say date, but he asked me to get you ready for the beach. He will be coming here to pick you up after his office. And since your mom will be back by Magrib, he will drop you back before she returns. And that dumbo asked me to get Amira and Alayna ready as well. Like couldn't he have just let them stay with me and actually go on a date with you? But no, he has to take them with you guys. Pagal."

(Crazy!)

"Oh..." I didn't know what to say. I was flustered to say the least. I could even feel my cheeks getting warm. "But I don't understand... Wh- why? I mean... didn't you guys go to see a girl for him the day before yesterday and stuff?"

"Oh yes, you got to know about it." It didn't even take a moment for her expression to change, from excited to distaste as she looked away. "Ask Saad about it, he will explain it to you better."

I hummed, not getting what was happening or where this was going.

"Ughhh, I so wish that date thing was true and you guys would go out alone." She pouted, changing the topic. Her mood was back to normal again. Was she alright?

"Waise, how are you glowing so much? Zara hame bhi bataiye apni khubsurti ka raaz." Trying to change the subject, I asked her, also trying my best for the spreading warmth to not show on my face. Where did this even come from?

(By the way, how are you glowing so much? Tell me the secret of your beauty too.)

"Oh yes, I have to tell you something else too." She glanced at me happily. She did look a bit different, glowing.

"What is it?" I knitted my brows curiously.

"Umm... I'm expecting." Biting her lips, she blushed, looking anywhere but at me. It took awhile for me to process what she was talking about, but when I did, I couldn't stop the grin forming on my face.

"Oh my God bhabi! I'm so happy for you. Ma Sha Allah, congratulations! Oh my God!" I hugged her tightly.

"Hahaha, I still can't believe it yaar." Laughing, she hugged me back.
