Atifa's pov :
"You have grown so old. You even got married." Emaan wailed, making me flushed.
"Now you are being dramatic. I'm not that old either." I tightened my hold on her.
But it seemed like my voice wasn't as low as I intended for it to be. "Over dramatic would be the correct word." Zeeshan, who had come to pick her up, muttered loud enough for us to hear.
"Can't you guys let me shed some tears for her nikkah peacefully? And also for her ruksati in advance? I don't want to ruin my makeup that day." Came her muffled reply as she slapped my shoulder.
"Oh how considerate of you Emaan. Your mood swings are worse than mine, you know?" Muttering, I moved away from her while shaking my head.
"Yeah yeah, whatever." She glanced at the corner of the room where he was talking to his brother, occasionally glancing in our way. He had a concerned look in his gaze which kind of made me feel warm? Okay, I was definitely over analysing things.
"Now don't do anything stupid or crazy." Half of my statement was left hanging in the air as she made her way towards him, ignoring me. There she goes. Again.
"Bhaijaan, I'm taking Atifa with me." He frowned, not understanding where this was going. I was confused too. What was she trying to do?
When he didn't reply, she sighed. "You won't ask me where? Or why? Or any other question for that matter?"
"No? She is your friend, so I would understand if you would like to take her with you." He replied, making me suppress my giggle. Emaan just stared at him in disbelief.
"Aunty aap kaisa daamad leke aayi hai? Inko to apni biwi ki fikar hi nahi hai!" Frowning, Emaan turned to look at ammi who was smiling, amusement dancing in her eyes. I glanced at him just to watch him getting more confused as his gaze flickered between ammi and Emaan before finally settling on me.
(What a son-in-law you have brought aunty!? He doesn't even care about his wife.)
"Mere damaad ko kuch mat bolo. Wo bohot masoom hai, use tumhari chaale samajh me nahi aayengi." Ammi took his side.
(Don't say anything to my son-in-law. He is very innocent, he won't understand your mischief.)
"Jee jee, le lein aap bhi unki side." She muttered, turning back to him. "I will be taking her with me because you didn't give me meri juta chupai rasam ki keemat. Wo alag baat hai I couldn't hide your shoes because I forgot, but now you will have to give me money warna I'm going to take her with me right now!" Folding her arms, she smiled sweetly at him.
(Yeah yeah, you too take his side.)
(I will be taking her with me because you didn't give me my shoe hiding money. I couldn't hide your shoes because I forgot but that doesn't matter, now you will have to give me money or else I'm going to take her with me right now!)I deadpanned. Was this girl serious?! Was she ever going to stop with these things? But I couldn't help the amused smile when I saw him looking dumbfounded. "What?"
"Yes, now I want my money because Amira is too small for that but don't worry, I will share it with her." She extended her hand happily.
"So you're telling me, if I don't give you the money, you will take her with you?" He raised a brow.
"Yes."
"Okay, you can take her with you. I don't mind it at all." I could notice a hint of an amused smile on his face as he glanced at me, making me gape at him, shocked.
