Maeve woke to gentle hissing and a scaly tail probing at her cheek, she sighed as she opened her eyes. Loki peered at her, flicking his forked tongue out and softly hissed.

~Have you finally woken up?~

She rolled her eyes, -as if he gave me a choice to sleep in-, Maeve gently pushed him away and sat up with a yawn. She looked around and wasn't surprised when none of the other girls were awake, they never seemed to wake at the appropriate time. Maeve gently pushed her serpent away and sat up, stretching her arms above her head. It was Saturday, which free time and she decided to wander around Hogwarts with her boys. It'll be nice to get to know her new surroundings.

$Would you like to sssee Hogwartsss with me?$

Maeve hissed in question, green eyes looking at her darling snake laying comfortably on her pillow. He merely hissed in agreement before coiling in in himself and blocking the rest of the conversation out. She huffed in amusement and stood up, today would be slightly colder than it was yesterday so she chose cuffed jeans and a long checkered sleeve black shirt, she had taken a shower last night and decided to just change.

The restroom was cold and the bright light caused a headache to form at her temples, she growled in annoyance. Not wanting to spend time longer just standing around, Maeve quickly got dressed, tucking her shirt loosely in her jeans and pulled on her black socks before slipping her black converse on. Deciding to forgo doing her hair and simply pulled it in a messy bun, she walked back into her room and grabbed her jacket and book bag. She glanced at Loki and nudged him softly.

$Come along, Loki. We mussst get going, I'd like to be the first arrival in the Great Hall.$

Loki flicked his tongue and slithered up the young girls outstretched arm, curling loosely. She smiled and waved her hand, her bed making itself before walking out. No one was in the common room at the moment, which was understandable. It was quite early and Loki liked waking her up before the break of dawn, he said it was because someone of her status shouldn't sleep in. She hadn't known what he fully meant and even now he still wouldn't say. Claiming it wasn't time.

Maeve adjusted Loki's grip as she tugged her sleeves lower,  and walked out the common room. The dungeon hallway was as cold as always, she really needed to talk to someone about that, for now though, she pulled her arm closer to her chest and shared her body heat with Loki. She saw some Ravenclaws bunched together in the halls as she walked to the Great Hall, she supposes they would be awake about not. Must be excited to learn new things.

As she stepped in the brightly lit area and saw Dumbledore, she was considering just turning and heading to the library instead. Anything beat staying in place filled with prejudice old bigots, because both professor McGonnagal and Snape sat along with at the long table and the dark haired male was currently glaring at her. Dumbledore's blue eyes twinkled as he stared at her, his wrinkly face pulling into a practiced grandfatherly smile. Maeve resisted the urge to bare her teeth in disgust, after all she was a lady and no matter what she feels, doing so would tarnish her reputation and she will not allow that.

So straightening her shoulders, she walked to the Slytherin table and sat at her usual spot. She focused on her breakfast and tried to ignore the stares of the adults who didn't know how to mind their business. Maeve glanced up when the sound of a throat clearing in front of her caught her attention. There stood a beautiful girl with straight blonde hair and icy blue eyes, she offered a disarming smile and motioned for the other to sit. She did so gracefully.

"Hello," She had a soft airy voice, a smile curling at rosy lips. "I'm Daphne Greengrass, pleasure to meet you."

"Maeve Potter," The green eyed girl introduced. "Though, I'm quite sure you already knew."
