Chapter 7: His Comforting Arms

You about burst into tears as you walked to your father's classroom. When you opened the door he immediately noticed your teary eyes and came over to you. You wrapped your arms around him and buried your head in his robes

Severus- what happened?

Y/N- you were right about those Twins

He knelt down and looked at your tear soaked face, brushing as much off as he could with the fabric of his cloak

Severus- what did they do now?

Y/N- they insulted you, saying you were scary and horrible. I couldn't take listening to their harsh words about you so I insulted them back and left

His eyes widened a little bit. He put your head in his shoulder as his other hand stroke your hair, you had calmed down a bit now that you were in his arms

Severus- my dear, it's alright, you don't need to cry...

You sniffled as you brushed the tears away

Severus- did they say anything else?

Y/N- they said I was nothing like you...

He was silent..then he responded with a calming voice

Severus- my dear Y/N, you are my daughter. My beautiful, intelligent, ambitious, caring, resourceful, and strong daughter. I appreciate you standing up to me, but just remember, no matter what they say it will never hurt me. Just like how it shouldn't hurt you

You smiled as he brushed away the last tear sitting on your cheek

Y/N- thank you Severus...
