Chapter 12: Earlier

Sans was sleeping peacefully when he was awoken by his only brother, screaming at him about something he couldn't understand. He grumbled and sat up, rubbing some sleep off his eyesockets "mnn.. what?" Papyrus repeat it again but he was still panicking so he stumbles on his words. "BROTHERYOURFRIENDSREDISMISSINGIWASTRYINGTOWAKEHIMUPWHENHE-" Papyrus was cut off by his brother raising a hand "slow down paps, i cant understand ya.." Sans let out a yawn. Papyrus took a deep breath to calm down before continuing "I SAID, BROTHER! YOUR FRIEND RED IS MISSING!!" Sans's sleepiness went away just like that "wait, what?" Papyrus fidgets with his fingers nervously "I HEARD A SCREAM IN YOUR ROOM SO I WALKED THERE TO CHECK IF RED WAS OKAY, I KNOCKED ON THE DOOR AND OPENED IT AND HE WAS GONE!!" Sans got up on his feet and puts on his slipper "are you sure hes not around the house?" Sans walked upstairs and opened the door "NO, I HAVE CHECKED ALL THE ROOMS SANS, WHICH WE DON'T HAVE MUCH.." The skeleton brothers live in a small house, two rooms upstairs with its own bathroom, a small living room and a kitchen. Papyrus searched everywhere and even looked in their backyard but Red was nowhere to be found. Sans began to worry, he doesn't know where Red would go since he doesn't know much about the surface. Red wouldn't go outside without telling Sans because he might get lost, and besides, he said he doesn't feel safe outside, so where would he be? Sans thought about a place where Red could possibly go "stay here paps, im gonna try to find him.." Papyrus nods his head "I WILL CALL UNDYNE TO ASK FOR HELP" Sans nods his head "good thinking bro" while he use his magic to teleport to where he thinks Red went. The coffee shop, since this is the only place that Red knows beside the house. He opened the door almost harshly and immediately asked one of the waiters there "hey! can i ask you a question?" Taffy nods their head, seems like Sans is in a hurry today "have you seen the guy.. i was with yesterday? maybe he went in here or walked pass this place?" Taffy shooks their head "sorry but no." Sans nods his head "oh, ok thanks anyway" He walked away and try searching outside, maybe he got lost when he went out here? Maybe those dudes went back to kidnap him and took him as hostage and now they will threaten his and Papyrus's life and they are in a complete danger if they didn't follow their orders? Or maybe they used Red as a distraction so he can let his guard down and kidnap Papyrus then him and seek revenge?? What if Papyrus was in danger now? Should he just listened to Geno from the beginning?! But he couldn't just leave him to dust, his conscious won't let it happen! He maybe not as kind hearted as Papyrus where he believes, anyone can change if they try, but that doesn't mean he cant be kind too.

Okay, Sans needs to calm down, he wont find him if he just keeps on panicking.

Sans searched the whole place, but only where monsters are 'allowed' of course. He searched the whole place to try and look for him but to no avail. He even checked some dark alley's he can find, he even checked the place where he first found him but still, he couldn't find him.

As if flashbacks flooded inside his head, he started thinking about his cat's death. Cookies, he was such a cute and nice cat, but he died because of Sans's recklessness and stupidity. He doesn't want that to happen again. He doesn't want him to die! Red is injured! Red is lost, he's missing! With injuries like those, and with his bad condition, he wouldn't survive! He probably doesn't know a single about this place! What if someone decided to do the same as those guys? What if they decided to mess with him? To beat him up for no damn reason? What if they killed him?!

Sans searched everywhere for hours, his feet started to hurt that it feels like his legs would disconnect from his body. He tried his absolute best but he just couldn't find him. Sans blames himself for everything. It's his fault, it is and always will be. He couldn't help it, he feels like he is his responsibility, he should be taking care of him! The poor skeleton looked like he's been through so much. He can even touch him without Red flinching away. He failed, yet again. He is a failure. Sans decided to walk back to his house, his head facing the floor. The sun was nowhere to be seen, but the sparkling stars were present. Once Sans arrived infront of his house, he opened the door, his face has a look of disappointment and sadness.. anger even. Papyrus noticed his brother, but didnt acknowledge it and just walked up to him and place his hands on both Sans's shoulders. This made Sans look up "BROTHER! ALPHYS TOLD ME THAT THEY FOUND RED!!" Papyrus shouted a little louder than usual. Sans immediately looked up, sadness no longer on his face and asked "where?!" Papyrus replied with "HE WAS IN BETWEEN WATERFALLS AND HOTLAND!" Sans nods his head and locked the front door using his magic. He didn't bother asking a question for why was he there "stay. here." Papyrus nods his head as Sans's body was slowly surrounded with blue magic, then disappearing in thin air.

Classic landed on his feet behind Alphys and Undyne. Alphys noticed this and rushed beside him "S-Sans! Thank g-goodness your here!" Classic nods his head "whats happening?" Observing the place, there's a lot of scattered sharp pointed bones around the place and there are a lot, surrounding Red in a protective manner. Red was in the middle of it, his eyesockets are wide, his eyelights are small, they are glowing red and tears kept falling down. Undyne was trying her best to dodge each attack that Red unconsciously throws at her, shouting at him tk snap out of it "R-Red s-seems like hes ha-having a p-panick attack.." Classic raised an eyebrow "why? did ya do anything?" Alphys shook her head "W-We didnt e-even went n-near him" Classic nods his head in understanding, maybe something happened in his universe that triggered it. Classic decided to step forward, dodging every attack easily, walking towards Red "Sans! Be careful!" but a surprise attack caught him off guard, causing a small cut appear on his cheekbone. The two female gasp but Classic kept walking towards him, he was filled with patience, no matter how long he dodge, no matter how long the attacks are, he didnt give up. Once he successfully went near Red, he summoned a sharp bone, and breaks the bones surrounding Red, in half. Classic hugged him tight and as if Red's legs gave up, he collapsed, but he was pulled away from his head and back to reality.

"Red! i-im here Red.. no one's gonna hurt you now.. im here.. calm down, please.."
