"Yuzuru-kun...Do you have a girlfriend?" My mom asked still looking at the road.
I looked at her in disbelief, confused as to why she asked such a question. Yuzuru cleared his throat, and laughed nervously, obviously not comfortable with question. I shifted from my seat, waiting for his answer, making me nervous all of a sudden.
"Well...There is a girl in my mind, but I'm not so sure about it yet." He said bashfully.
'Ah...'
My mom hummed at his answer and continued driving. They continued talking as I slumped back on my seat, propping my elbow on the window and watched as the birds soared through the sky. I felt warm droplets on my wrist making me wonder where it came from. I touched my face and realized that it was my tears. I wiped them and continued to watch the birds fly freely, so stress-free.
'Oh to be one of those birds, flying freely, away from what any of this is.'

We dropped him but told us to wait so he can get his mother to greet us. My mom said it was fine, but he kept on insisting. We eventually got out of the car and went with him. He knocked on the door and waited. The door opened revealing his mom, surprised to see me and my mom.
"We came from the rink, your son was there so might as well drop him." My mom explained.
"Oh my, I'm so sorry for the inconvenience." Yumi-san said, embarrassed.
"It's okay Yumi-san, we're all living in the same neighborhood." My mom reassured.
Yumi-san bowed, together with Yuzuru. As were all laughing, a teenage girl who was around my age, having a short bob with a fringe, came out of the house. She was shorter than any of us and looked like a kid from a far. She also looked like a doll from her excessive makeup, which made me creeped out a bit.
"Yumi-san, what's going on?" The girl said.
Yuzuru looked surprised seeing her, unsure whether to greet her actually.
"Mina-chan! Yuzuru's here and our neighbors, Natsuna-chan and her mom, Ayaka-san." Yumi-san greeted.
The so-called Mina, jumped onto Yuzuru, completely ignoring me and my mom, hugging him tightly. Yuzuru hugged back, as he put his chin on top of the said girl's head. It was a bit awkward to see it, but it shouldn't since we're already history anyways. His mom cleared his throat, making Yuzuru snapped to reality, realizing that we were there. That I was there. He pushed the girl lightly, to release from her grip.
"Yuzu-kun! Why are you pushing me away? I was gone for a week! Don't you miss me?" The girl pouted as Yuzuru looked like he was stuck in an awkward position.
The action made me roll my eyes, making my mom and Yumi-san snicker. I covered my face in embarrassment, as the Mina girl looked at me weirdly, judging me silently.
"Oh, come on Mina. It's rude to do this in front of other people. Remember your manners." Yumi-san scolded.
Yuzuru just laughed awkwardly making him scratched the back of his head.
"Yumi-san, we're in Canada! Japanese manners don't matter here!" Mina reasoned, making me scoff.
Yumi-san looked at her with disbelief, not thinking she would actually say that. She looked at her watch then to the 'Mina' girl.
"Oh, won't you look at the time? It's getting late for you, sweetie. Get home before your father starts looking for you." Yumi-san smiled, trying her best not to snap.
