The news of Chase and I dating went around pretty quickly after the weekend. Most of the crew had known by the time we got back to filming. It wasn't anything negative more just joking around or teasing us. It was a different story for social media though. The show was still up and coming of course so there wasn't a huge following but those that were had definitely stated their opinions both good and bad. I tried not to put any attention towards it but I could only ignore it so much. A majority were super positive and congratulated us but there were others that were definitely not for our relationship. It was hopefully nothing personal but obviously Chase was a good looking person that had his few fan crushes that were not favoring our relationship.
Unknown Number
Wow you are absolutely disgusting. I can't believe someone like you would even have a chance with someone like him.I read the text as it came in on my phone as I furrowed my eyebrows trying to figure out who this unknown person could be. Had someone gotten my phone number somehow? I waited to see if anything came in after that but there weren't any other notifications.
"Hey, you ready to go?" Maddie asked peeking her head in my trailer.
"Uh, yeah," I nodded setting my phone down. I'd have to figure that out later. It was dark out as we met at the dock we were filming at. We had filmed late into the night last night for mine and Maddie's scene on the boat and were finishing the morning portion of the scene with the boys. I was exhausted honestly and barely got any sleep the previous day.
"I'm in need of a nap," Maddie said as we got onboard.
"I don't remember ever feeling well rested in all of my life," I answered fixing my rainbow colored crop top that I was wearing, "It feels like all I've ever known was exhaustion."
"Amen," she agreed and I laughed though what I had said had been a bit of an exaggeration. The rest of this week was also full of late night shoots as we had to film the gold scene. I saw the SS Pogue as we sat on the edge of the boat while they filmed the guys pulling up beside us for a few wide shot takes.
"Uh oh, you forget your keys or something?!" JD called far across the water as the drove the boat towards us.
"You need a tow?" Chase asked.
"Don't give them satisfaction of thinking this worked," Maddie told me as we sat perched on the edge of the bow.
"Absolutely not," I agreed putting on a serious face.
"You gotta admit it was funny," Chase said as they pulled the boat up beside us.
"John B...." Maddie started, "Mastermind uh?"
"I'm always plannin'," he grinned.
"Some patriarchal bullshit," Maddie sighed as they tossed us the lines to help get into the boat.
"Yeah, that sucked," I nodded.
"You still love us though, right?" Rudy asked.
"Yeah, whatever," she rolled her eyes.
"You still hate me?" Chase asked me putting his sunglasses on his head as he leaned back in the captain's char.
"A little. We're both gonna get you back when you least expect it." I crossed my arms.
"Watch your back, boys," Maddie threatened as I turned to her.
"I welcome that challenge," JD smiled.
"Me too," Rudy agreed.
"So, did you guys, you know..." JD asked.
"Reconcile our differences?" Maddie finished and I shook my head, "Not even close."
