It was fairly late by the time you both arrived at the resort. You were completely and utterly exhausted after the day you'd had after barely resting during the ride back, unable to let your guard down in fear that you'd both be found out. Margaret, on the other hand, apparently felt that there was no cause for concern about the fact you were still in public and clearly had full faith that her driver wouldn't have gone running to the papers the minute you both left.

The suite booked for the pair of you was spectacular. It consisted of two bedrooms with an interconnecting bathroom and a living area. You and Margaret had unfortunately got a bad case of the giggles when you were walking down the hallways. She found the fact that you were being so precautious amusing, looking round corners to make sure no one from the palace . "Y/N darling, I highly doubt my bloody sister's going to pop her head round the corner and ask to come in" She giggled as you opened the door to your suite. "Margot, we can't risk anything you know that" you said, closing and locking the door then turning back to face her. "Its a bit bloody late for that now love" She smiled, gently pressing her soft lips against yours. "Well, we'll just have to be extra careful from now on" you said, trying to ignore the fact that her words alone had created a whirlwind of butterflies in your lower stomach. "Right then, lets see where they've put us" She said, walking around the suite. "Mm a bit on the basic side but I suppose we can make do" she criticized, which completely baffled you.

To an 'ordinary' person like you, the suite was beyond perfect and exceeded your expectations in every way. The view, for instance, overlooked the wonderful city of San Francisco for it was really quite marvelous. The bathroom was amazing. A large bathtub in the middle, held upwards by four small legs whilst the floor and walls were covered in a brilliant marble design. You smiled to yourself as memories of the last time you and Margaret were left alone in a bathroom together came racing back. Her slamming you into the wall nearest to the cabinet whilst you were gasping for air as one of her hands clutched your throat, swallowing each sweet moan that dared to escape your lips. Perfection.

"The funniest thing about this place is the sleeping arrangements" Margaret laughed, walking into the bathroom where you stood your mind in a different world thinking about the events that took place prior to you leaving Buckingham Palace. "Not interrupting anything am I darling" she smirked, inferring that she knew exactly what you were thinking and also, that she wanted to recreate those delightful events right here, right now without a care in the world who heard you or knew. "Everything is fine ma'am" you grinned. Margaret adored being referred to as 'ma'am' or 'your royal highness' it filled her with a sense of importance and also a sense of fulfillment that she wasn't just the Queen's Sister or fifth in line to the bloody throne it gave her a sense of belonging and meaningfulness. Y/N knew this however in attempt to humble the Princess, you refrained from using such words in fear that it would fill her ego even more.

"Y/N my sweet you know what that does to me" she giggled, as she undid the grasps and clips in her hair letting her long chocolate brown curls tumble down her back. You knew exactly what she was implying and however much you both wanted it, the car would arrive at the crack of dawn to take you to Hollywood which isn't something neither you or Margot wanted to miss out on and in the particular way the Princess was feeling, it was clear that she'd have her way with you for a few hours at the very least. "Hmm" you said, walking past Margaret and into the living area causing her to sigh in a huge sulk. "I do think I have a better idea" as you walked over to the right hand corner where an assortment of records were held in a grey cabinet with its player directly across.

Margot's frown soon turned into a rather large smile once you reach the records "We have.. lets see.. The Beatles.. The  Rolling Stones.. ooh The Beach Boys" you laughed, flicking through the various different records the cabinet had to offer. She grinned. "The Beatles lets try that one" She said, giggling as you walked over to the other room to the turquoise blue record player and gently slid the disc in. It was only moments before Margaret got into the full swing of things starting to do the Twist, as you both danced all around the room causing you both to explode in fits of giggles onto a sofa. "Right" she said, placing both hands on her thighs slapping them and then rising only to walk over to a cupboard to grab a bottle of Famous Grouse - Margaret's all time favorite whiskey and two small glasses. "Now darling, this is one of the best creations I have ever discovered" she grinned, sitting next to you on the sofa and pouring a droplet of the 'best creation' into yours and her glass. "Although Lilibet, Mummy and bloody Tony all keep complaining about my marvelous taste in whiskey I say to hell with what anyone else thinks" She smiled as she took a sip. It burned your throat as fresh ginger aromas with hints of citrus cascaded down your throat.  It really was marvelous.

You both stayed on the sofa talking all night long whilst the Beatles played in the background making the atmosphere even more relaxed. "I've got a tiny question my darling" You grinned, a new found confidence surging through your body. "Go on" she giggled,  clearly beyond tipsy as she sipped on her drink. The poor bottle of Grouse was now nearly half empty. "You know whilst I was still working in the kitchens - how come you asked for me?" She grinned and shook her head. "a bit bloody cheeky tonight aren't we Y/N?" she said, amused "however, regardless of that I suppose it doesn't matter now does it". You eagerly edged forward awaiting her response. "Surely you remember how we first became acquainted Y/N" "I do yes" you said as you clearly remembered your days before this luxurious lifestyle. You were just a servant girl who managed to work her way up to the head of Kitchens. "Well, the truth is my darling.. Nell never got pregnant" she said, sternly. You blushed. This couldn't possibly mean- "I felt so much more drawn to you.. your light.. your charisma. You were completely different your innocence something I'd not seen before.. I dismissed Nell the next day as I needed to know you.. know more about you" she said, with a slight smile on your face. "but what ever happened to the other girl.." "Lady Nell and Lord Louis are now living a happy, luxurious life further north near the beautiful Lake District and they have never been happier" She smiled providing you with a sense of ease you now felt that your position hadn't been attained at the misfortune of someone else.

It was around 2AM by the time you both got in to bed, much later than you both anticipated. As she snuggled up to you, it was then you realized that apart from Margaret's happiness and everything else aside all you wanted in life was for you and Margot to eventually have a lovely life in a small, quaint cottage with wild jasmine and honeysuckle down the side of your little cottage. Perhaps two children? Maybe three? and a little dog of course. You could imagine it now a little garden with a white painted fence and flowerbeds full with roses and assorted flowers. Your fantasy was completely unrealistic. For one, Margaret was married, unhappily married but still married with two children. For two, Princess Margaret was fifth in the line to the British throne therefore being a divorcee at least wouldn't be deemed acceptable but also the fact that your relationship was frowned upon in society. Homosexuality was frowned upon. It was clear to you now that your dreams of your future could never possibly happen which is why you treasured these moments the most. The ones where you held her. The ones where you stroked her head. Or the ones where you danced the night away laughing and giggling at your shared love for Famous Grouse. You drifted off whilst your little cottage with the white painted fence danced around in your mind.. Margot's children becoming your own.. living happily together and playing childhood games like tag for instance with the children whilst Margot relaxed, sunglasses on with a glass of red wine in one hand and a cigarette in the other. That was your idea of happiness.
