"Y/N" Margot called.
"Yes?" you said, wandering into her bedroom and sitting down on the emerald green chair that looked out on to the gardens. She groaned "the trip has been moved forward unfortunately due to my bloody sister" she said rolling her eyes. "we leave in approximately half an hour." You were gobsmacked. "Sorry it's a tad short notice my love" she giggled, then sauntered into the bathroom.
"Y/N darling, what do I wear go choose something for me I don't have the time" she called out from behind the door, running a wooden comb through the locks of her wispy brown curls. Margaret was quite a natural beauty - with fairly long eyelashes and smooth skin. Her eyes were bright and although her lips were on the smaller side, the plumpness made up for them. She applied a natural balm infused with coconut oil to her lips aswell as a thin layer of mascara to her top and lower lashes.
Eventually, you arrived around ten minutes later with a last minute thrown together outfit. "Oh for goodness sake Y/N.. I will and CANNOT wear that old thing to the White House - Lilibet will kill me if I wear that piece" She giggled and walked over. "But I suppose it'll do for some fun on the flight am I right my love". Her words alone sent chills of excitement up your smile. You blushed and looked down. "Pull me out that pink two piece - the lighter one. I suppose that will do for after we land"
You walked over to her wardrobe and pulled out the little piece she had requested. It was fairly conservative - a long pink skirt with a little cardigan to match. "Margot - have you packed your jewellery" I called as I knew that the diamonds and sparkles were very important to the princess.
"Oh goodness Y/N I'll bloody have his head" she growled referring to one of the male servants but thankful you had reminded her. "Just pick me my favourites you know the teck diamond hoop necklace and the diamond rose brooch Cartier made for me in '38 - you know the one I wore to the coronation then I need something to go with the pink outfit I'm wearing" She laughed applying a reddish pigment to her lips.
You walked over to her elegant dressing table and opened the very top draw. Inside, there was a chunky diamond necklace on a black velvet holder. You selected the necklace which made your hand drop due to the weight. You could only imagine how pricey the necklace was as you slowly placed it into a protective case then into a smaller suitcase.
Walking back over to the dresser, you opened the second draw to find a variety of different bracelets - all diamond & expensive of course. You selected a simple, but enchanting bracelet with diamond chains interconnecting, with a small clasp at the end. Then, finally you opened the little jewelry box that lay in the centre of her table, vertically across from the mirror. Inside you found some silver earrings with diamonds surrounding the silver in a kite shaped pattern as they dangled by the ear.
Placing all the jewelry you'd found into protective case and placed them into the same suitcase you had originally put the necklace in. Grabbing the final few pieces Margot had requested, you were ready. As she walked out of the bathroom, your jaw dropped. You didn't have the time or the patience to look at what you had selected but boy, were you impressed.
A black, yellow and white coat that flowed down to her ankles along with a tight-fitted dress not too short but it was enough to enhance her hourglass. To match, sheer black tights with little patterns. She looked divine.
"Oh my-" you said, lost for words. "We have no time for that my sweet" She grinned, snacking her lips together. "The driver's already here ready to escort us" as she grabbed a small black purse and headed out. You grabbed the suitcase, which inside held all of yours and Margot's items then proceeded to head out of the room. As you exited the palace, a tall man dressed in red was holding open the car door. Margaret entered as you followed behind her. Once you were both in the car, the man closed the door and tapped on the side.
"I'm so excited, Y/N" she laughed. "I've heard the First Lady has an amazing dress collection which I've been dying to see - although, I do question her taste on some of the photos Lilibet showed me" You both giggled. You quite liked this side of Margaret - Evil Margot as you called her when she was commenting on the different celebrities or filling you in on the gossip of the Royal household.
You eventually pulled up to a large plane with various different photographs and press outside, eagerly awaiting to see the Princess. "Ready
Y/N?"
"Ready Margot"
The car doors swung open and you were greeted with flashes and lights waiting for a glimpse of Princess Margaret and her main Lady.author note: my apologies for not updating in a while.. ive been hungover nearly every day this week and im only starting to recover today!
