A whirlwind. That's the only word to describe the relationship between you and Margot.

You didn't think it to be possible but you were completely enchanted by Margot you were falling more and more in love with her everyday.
You noticed a change in her throughout the years a glowing light shining through her. Her eyes grew brighter and her smile grew wider. She became more at ease - letting you see a side to her that very few had seen before.

After the explosion of emotion that occurred within Margaret's chambers, you were both in a bubble of warmth and ecstasy. In the days after, Margot found out that she had asked to go to the United States and make stops at different countries on the way, engaging with the public and other Royal duties. Although this trip was to celebrate her marriage to Anthony Armstrong-Jones or Tony as Margot called him, she was still ecstatic to be given some form of purpose or importance within the household. However, she was having second thoughts that caused her to become trapped within her own mind and become withdraw. You noticed this immediately and provided her with all the comfort you possibly could.

"What ever is the matter Margot" You asked, curiously. "You are not yourself at all"
"Its the trip, Y/N" she stuttered, "I- I- I can't do it. I c-can't be left alone with him"
"With who, Margot" you said, embracing her into your arms as she rested her head upon your shoulder.
"Tony" she whispered.

Shocked, you took a step back at looked up at her. She lifted her head to make eye contact with obvious tears in her eyes. "Has he hurt you Margot?" you said, seriously with an empathetic and understanding tone. "No but there's been rumours" she said. "What rumours.." you said, perfectly aware of what was about to be said but you didn't want Margot to know that. "About Tony.. and OTHER women" she glared rolling her eyes. "Of course, I always knew of his infidelities and unfaithfulness before our marriage however I never thought he'd put one of his play things above me" she sighed.

"I'll never put anyone above you my darling" you smiled, cupping her cheek and slowly running your finger down her face. She closed her eyes, capturing and memorizing every stroke as though your touch calmed her and sent waves of relaxation passing through her which allowed her to feel more at ease as she melted into your arms.

"There's no love there anymore" she cried. "I'm trying to stay so strong for David and Sarah.. I don't want my babies growing up in a broken family"
"Margot, I don't have children so perhaps I'll never understand but is it really worth sacrificing your happiness for your children to grown up in an unstable home full of arguments"

"That's the thing Y/N, you will never understand how it feels" she laughed. "I have no escape from this marriage.. Divorce just isn't deemed acceptable for a woman of my status"
"Let me understand then Margot" you said as you stroked her head and brought her closer towards your heart.

"Come with me Y/N" she asked her eyes wide full of wonder and hope as she looked up at you with despair.
"Come where Margot?" you giggled.
"America.. New Zealand or where else they bloody want me to go I need you to be there with me as my Lady but as my girl too" She smiled.
"Of course I will" you laughed, pulling her closer towards you and kissing her gently on cheek.

You were completely shocked to have been asked to come on such an opportunity. I mean.. you and Margot alone at Buckingham Palace had its risks but being in a foreign country with her husband and multiple other figures that could catch you both send chills of excitement up your spine and made the trip all the more exciting.

It was the first time that you'd ever really left the country after all, you'd not come from much wealth yourself and neither had Ray's family. You worked to live and to enjoy the little luxuries life in London had to offer.
"There's no need to pack Y/N" she laughed. "I've already arranged for someone to pack your things and arrange all your outfits - welcome to life as a royal" She joked rolling her eyes and headed off down the hall with a cigarette in one hand and a bourbon in the other.
