Lia looked down at the unknown phone number calling her, then watched as it went to voicemail. She shrugged, if it was that important they'd leave call back, she told herself. She ran a hand through her knotted hair, cursing that she didn't braid it before she fell asleep, then threw off the blankets and slipped out of bed.

She dialed the number of her mother and listened as the phone rung, putting it on speaker as she started to pick up her room. When the line connected, she grinned, "Hi, mom." She spoke and fluffed her pillows, after fixing up her bed.

"Lia! What a great surprise to hear from you, sweetie." Her mother spoke, Lia feeling more at home when she heard her thick Australian accent. "What time is it for you there?"

"It's seven-thirty." Lia spoke, "So it's three-thirty for you, right?"

"Yeah, it's pretty early," Her mother spoke.

"Oh! I'm sorry... I forget about the nineteen hour time difference when I call," Lia giggled, "Did I wake you?" She asked and picked up her phone, heading to grab clothes from her closet, so she could get ready for the day.

"That's alright," Her mother spoke, Lia could almost hear her smile. "But no, I was pulling an all nighter," She sighed, "Still looking for your sister, Noelle. We don't even have a trace, but the longer we wait... the harder it will be to find her."

"Right," Lia sighed, "When are you going back to Michigan?" She asked, "I know you flew out to Sydney because you had a lead."

"I'm not sure," Her mother spoke with a sigh, "Granted, it has been a few years. . We're not even sure if she's still here."

Lia nodded understandingly, "I see." She said quietly, pulling out a black off the shoulder top, with black ripped jeans, followed by a red flannel. Lia grabbed a pair of sneakers, then socks, underwear and a bra and quickly changed into the outfit. "Well, maybe I'll talk to you later... I have to go get my car repaired."

"Okay, sweetie." Her mother spoke, "I'll text you later."

"Sounds good," Lia smiled, "Bye, love you."

"Love you too, Lia, goodbye."

The line clicked and Lia locked her phone, then headed into her bathroom to brush her teeth and apply makeup, before she headed down the stairs, grabbed a quick breakfast and left.

...

The drive was silent, besides the ticking of Lia's car. With a sigh, she pulled into the mechanic shop, then slipped out of the car after turning it off. She took the keys and her purse, approaching the two males who were working on a car, in front of her. Lia smiled over at the blonde who looked up with a grin, then a man with curly hair as well. She remembered that she had seen the two men at her work.

"Hey, I had an appointment for my car to be repaired." She spoke as the curly brown haired man stepped over to the computer and began tapping on the keys, looking up her name, she was sure.

"Lia?" The man— Tig, she had noticed by his name tag, spoke up.

"Correct," Lia had nodded and held out her keys, smiling as he took them.

"Alright, sweetheart. We'll call you when it's all set." He spoke up.

"Alright! Thank you." Lia smiled at the man, then started to walk towards the curb, where she would wait for Lindsay to come pick her up. She looked over her shoulder, back at the shop, where she noticed the darker looking man that she knew she had known before, but she wasn't sure how.
