Lia's eyes open wide and she sits up quickly. Her eyes dart around the room.. she knew where she was.. the ICU. Tears start to form in her eyes as she realizes how much pain she was in, but why? She didn't know why she was hurting or even why she was in the hospital.

Did someone try to kill her? Did she get stabbed?

Her mind floated with thoughts as tears roll down her cheeks and she looks for the remote, trying to call a nurse. Within seconds, her machines were going crazy from how much she was moving and soon a nurse sprinted in.

"Oh my god! Lia, you're awake!" The nurse says quickly and heads over to the woman in the bed, helping her lay back down. "Great! So we're going to get you out of the ICU now."

"What? My name's Lia..?" She asks the nurse and looks over at her. "How long have I been sleeping?"

"Three months, you were in a comatose state." The nurse responds, "The plug was going to get pulled today, so good timing." The nurse quickly fixes the machines and tracks her blood pressure. "I'm expecting you to not remember anything.. but do you have any idea where you are and anything about you?"

"I don't know anything." Lia mutters and runs a hand through her hair. "Who are you?"

"I'm your nurse, Adrian." She says and pulls on a pair of gloves. "I'm just going to examine you really quick, alright? Then we can get you into a different room."

Lia just nods slowly and looks over at the nurse, then around the room again. "I'm in pain. What happened to me?" She raises her eyebrows and looks over at the nurse.

"You got into a bad car wreck, sweetie." Nurse Adrian responds and checks Lia's blood pressure and re-dresses her wounds. "Alright. You're all set, let me go check with the desk. I'll be right back."

Lia just nods simply and watches her take off the gloves and sanitize her hands on the way out of the room. Then, Lia was left alone with her thoughts. She couldn't remember anything, again.

Everything was so fuzzy.

As much as she tried to remember, nothing came to her. She couldn't remember anything about herself or anything about the car crash, but she could hear a voice in the back of her mind.

"Girl, wake up."

"Hey Girl, can you hear me?"

The voice that replayed in her mind from when she was out. She didn't recognize the voice at all, as much as she wanted to.

Once the nurse comes back in, she looks up at her. "Nurse Adrian? I'm hearing these voices in the back of my head.. I don't know who it is. Are you allowed to tell me who visited me when I was out?" She asks curiously and runs a hand over her face.

"Well, we want you to see if it will trigger some memories, but I'll tell you that they were close to you. It's good that you heard everything, that usually happens and since you still had brain activity, it was normal." The nurse smiles at her and then puts the rails up on the bed. "Alright.. so we're going to take you in for brain testing among other tests, for some of them, you'll have to be asleep, so we're going to do those last."

Lia just gave a small nod and looks around the hospital as they wheel her out of her room. She stays quiet for the entire time to the testing room, her mind racing with thoughts.

. . .

The tests passed by quick and soon, Lia was put onto a different floor and into a different room, away from the ICU. It was about two hours after her last test and she was slowly starting to wake up.

Once again, her eyes slowly looked around the room. This room was different. It had had very light yellow walls and a white tiled floor. There were less machines than the last room, which made her smile slightly. She was doing better, now if she could just be released.

She shielded her eyes from the light as they became too bright, then looks over at the door, hoping someone would come in with papers so she could leave. Lia wasn't ever really a fan of hospitals, she didn't want to be in one or ever work in one. She lost too many people in them.

Her light eyes scanned the new nurse who walked in, with a smile on his face. She looked him over, he was tall with black hair and deep brown eyes.. didn't look like anyone she knew, then of course she didn't know.. but he was eyeing her.

"Hi.." she mutters and sits up in the bed, "When can I be released?"

"Either today or tomorrow," He responds and walks over to her bedside. "We need to have a peak at your motor skills first."

"Okay.." Lia responds and pulls her hair up into a bun, sighing as she felt all of the knots. "Can I have some food first?"

"Yeah, of course. I'll send someone in in a few minutes." The nurse responds and looks down at her, "I'm nurse Nick by the way, I'll be taking care of you for the rest of your stay." He smiles.

Lia just nods quietly and rests her head back on the pillow. "I just can't believe I can't remember anything.." she mutters and looks over at the nurse.

"I know and I'm sorry. We'll create appointments to monitor that once we release you.. but hopefully your memory will come back soon. I heard there's a few friends of yours that want to come visit you before you get let out." He responds and smiles.

"Okay, did they tell you their names?" Lia responds and bites on her lip, "I just want to jog my memory, see if I can remember them.."

"They were two officers. Lucas Raegan and Lindsay Barnes." Nurse Nick responds, "Alright, I'll go have someone send in some food and I'll talk to the doctor about you leaving."

Lia nodded and muttered a thanks, then slowly sat up as she started to think. The name Lucas sounded familiar, but she didn't recognize the woman named Lindsay.. and she didn't remember how she knew them.

Then she was left with her thoughts.. would she ever get her memory back?

HEYYY! So boring chapter, but next chapter Lindsay and Luke will come back and thennn.... we will hit the ground running. Hopefully, I'll have her out of the hospital and we'll go from there. I got a lot planned!
