Lia sat on the couch for days. She hadn't moved, eaten or even gone to work.

Luke was gone.

Lia looked down at her trembling hands, then up at the window. The sun shine bright through it, which agitated the migraine she had been developing.

With a sniffle, she looked away and laid back down on the couch. She tugged the blanket over her and her eyes welled up with tears.

Closing her eyes, she fought them off and slowly started to drift into sleep.

That was until, she heard intense banging on the door.

She jumped and sat up slowly, seeing if she could see who was there through the large windows. She shrugged and laid back down.

She didn't want to see anybody.

Once the banging stopped, she had closed her eyes again and began to drift to sleep.

Mere hours later, Lia had woken up to more banging on the door. Frustrated, she slid her legs off the end of the couch and waited a few minutes until she stood up. Once she did, she slowly tracked through the door and looked through the peak hole.

Seeing the familiar blonde, she huffed and unlocked the door, slowly opening it.

"Well, you look like shit."

Lia glared at the blonde man with blue eyes.

"I just wanted to say that I heard about your loss and on behalf of the club, we are sorry."

"What does this have to do with you?" Lia asked, holding on to the door to support herself.

"Can I come in?" The man asked.

"Uh- I guess." Lia said as he didn't wait for an answer and stepped in, shutting the door behind him.

"Look." He cleared his throat, "You might want to sit down."

Lia nodded and walked into the living room, prompting for him to follow her. "What's so urgent that a criminal needs to be in my house?"

Jax, in turn glared back at her.

He watched as she sat down, then took the chair across from her. He leaned forward. "I'm Jax. Maybe you heard my name."

"Jax?" Lia confirmed.

"Jax," he responded, "Jax Teller."

Lia's eyes widened and she looked at the man. Her mind was running with memories. "I know you." She spoke, "We... I know you, I've known you all along, haven't I?"

Jax chuckled at her bewilderment and nodded. "So your memory is coming back, then?"

"You bullied me in high school." She spoke up, glaring at Jax.

"Yeah, I wasn't the smartest." Jax rolled his eyes, "That was the past, darlin. Let's focus on now."

Lia stared at the man. "Please tell me why you're in my house then."

"I know who killed him and you're in danger."

Those words panned through Lia's head and it felt like she was paralyzed. If her blood could turn cold, it would have.

"In danger?"
