Season Two. Episode Thirteen. Comeback

HIGH OFF OF ALL THE LOVE SHE RECEIVED LAST WEEK IN GLEE CLUB. Ruby Carter thought her mood couldn't be spoilt until she found herself sitting next to Sue Sylvester in the choir room. The New Directions sat quietly as they listened to Mr Schue explain why the the former cheerleading coach and their number one nemesis was sitting amongst them.

"This cannot be happening?"   Tina asked Mr Schue in bewilderment.

"Yeah, this seems like a terrible idea."  Artie added.

"Guys, it's not up for discussion, okay? Now, it's no secret that Coach Sylvester has taken her licks..."  He started.

"I mean, just wanky!" 

"And I believe she could use a little sympathy from us."  Mr Schue continued, choosing to ignore Santana.

"Sympathy? From us? Uh-uh!"  Mercedes exclaimed.

"Yeah, all she's ever done is make our lives miserable."  Quinn pointed out.

"I mean two weeks ago, she tried to shoot Brittany out of a giant cannon!"  Ruby scoffed in disbelief.

"She got exactly what she deserved."  Santana agreed.

"You're lucky I left my blowgun at home, Airbags. Cause I got a clear shot at your nonnies!"  Sue shot at Santana and Ruby gestured to Sue in disbelief, see this is what we have to put up with.

"Guys! Coach Sylvester has had her recent set backs but she is a proven champion. Now we can do worse than to have that kind of winning record in our midst."  Mr Schue tried to win them over.

"Let me break it down for you. I am no longer a threat to you people. All right? I'm just hoping that your singing and dancing around will pull me out of my doldrums and give me a reason to live. Is that too much to ask?"

I mean, she did sound pretty desperate and like Mr Schue said having that proven champion energy in the room, might help get us in shape for Regionals. Ruby knew they had to at least get past Regionals this year if they didn't want to be shot further down into the social pit than they already were. "Guys, it's settled. Sue is with us for the week. Now I received an envelope in the mail today. We know that we're facing Kurt and the Warblers again at Regionals. And it looks like this year we face Aural Intensity again."

"Seems like the governing board has assigned a theme to this year's Regionals and part of our score will be based upon how well we interpret it. This year's theme -- 'Anthem' Now, who can tell us what an anthem is?"

"The bottom of an ant's pants."

"So close -- So close, no."  Mr Schue told Brit before continuing to explain exactly what constitutes to a song being classed as an anthem. Just as he was really getting into it, Ruby caught Sam raise his hand and call out.

"Oh, hey Sam. I didn't even notice your new haircut."  He said as he got up to stand next to him, Santana and Ruby both tilting their heads in sync as they processed his new look.

"I've been working on a new image to go with my new one man band, The Justin Bieber Experience."

"Dude. That haircut makes your mouth look even bigger."  Puck said in a trance like state, the brunette looked at him strangely, snapping him out of it by hitting him swiftly across the back of the head.
