Season Two. Episode Four. Duets

THE ENTIRE GLEE CLUB APART FROM NOAH PUCKERMAN WERE WAITING FOR MR SCHUE. Wandering what he could possibly have for them this week in terms of lessons and wandering where the hell Puckerman could be? He may like to skip class more often than not but he never missed a glee rehearsal and that's what was most baffling to the teenagers. He wasn't in maths class, fair enough. When was he ever in maths class? He's not turned up to glee, that's never happened ever. 

Even Santana had noticed and she couldn't care less about his whereabouts the majority of the time. Entering the classroom via his office, Mr Schue called for everyone to gather round as he made his way to the front of the choir room for his announcement, dragging a stool with him to take a seat. 

"Sorry I'm late guys. I was with Principal Figgins. Bad news guys. Puckerman's in juvie."  Mr Schue sighed.

Ruby rolled her eyes, of course he was. The brunette suddenly became aware of everyone's eyes on her and she turned in her seat next to Tina to look at them all. "Don't look at me. I didn't know! And you can all stop looking at me like that, I'm not his girlfriend! Just because I don't hate the guy anymore doesn't mean I'm his keeper!"  Ruby huffed, crossing her arms as she turned back to Mr Schue.

"Really was just a matter of time!"  Tina said casually.

"What did he do?!"  Quinn exclaimed.

"He drove his mom's volvo through the front of a convenience store and drove off with the ATM."  Mr Schue sighed as he explained to the kids. Rachel's jaw dropped as she looked over her shoulder at Ruby was mirroring her exact expression.

"And when is he getting out?"  Rachel asked.

"Unknown."  Mr Schue's tone worrying Ruby as the reality of being a man down really did just hit Mr Schue.

"He maybe the dumbest person on the planet and that's coming from me!"  Brittany laughed.

"Guys! Let's have some sympathy..."

"For the guy who put his needs before the team's. We need his voice and his bad boy stage presence!"  Finn shouted.

"We can't look at this as a crisis. It's an opportunity." Mr Schue's holding some sort of glimmer of hope.

"For what?! Further embarrassment and humiliation?!"  Quinn exclaimed loudly.

"For welcoming our new member -- Sam Evans!" 

Whipping her head towards the door, Ruby saw the cute blonde who she'd grown very fond of jog into the choir room and wave at everyone. "Hey everybody, I'm Sam Evans. Uhh I'm Sam, Sam I am and I do not like green eggs and ham."  He chuckled awkwardly when greeted with silence from the rest of the club.

"Ohh wow. He has no game."  Santana said loudly.

"Santana!"  Ruby warned as she sent a warm smile his way.

"Okay this is going to be great. You're not going to regret joining Sam! You can sit there."  Finn grinned, pointing to the empty seat next to Ruby.
