Season Two. Episode Ten. A Very Glee Christmas

AFTER MR SCHUE'S BRILLIANT IDEA TO GO CAROLE SINGING AND BEING BOOED OUT OF THE CLASSROOMS BY THEIR FELLOW STUDENTS. Even having shoes thrown at them by a teacher who hated the idea of them singing that much. Finn was determined to bring the spirit up in the glee club, even suggesting they give it another go but everyone was pretty bummed out by the last venture that it was shot down pretty quickly as they continued to decorate their new tree.

"Pretty soon, no one will bully us." Brittany said softly and breaking the awkward silence as they ditched their Christmas sweaters and turned their attention to the Cheerio. "Santa Clause can do anything and this year, I asked for the glee club to stop being picked on."  She said sending them all an innocent smile.

"She's kidding, right?" Lauren whispered as she leaned closer to Ruby, who turned to look at their newest member who's jaw was hinged open at the revelation.

Quickly catching everyone's attention, Ruby jumped down from the piano and found herself huddled around Artie; tucked under Puck's arm, who's arm hung loosely over her shoulder as they leaned closer to listen to Artie. "Guys, this is serious. Listen up. Brittany still believes in Santa Claus."

"You cannot be serious?"

A chorus of hushed laugher rang round the huddle in disbelief until they realised Artie wasn't joking. "Last week, Brittany believed a comb had magic powers." Sam whispered trying to get his head around it. "This is kind of a pattern."

"She's gonna find our sooner or later." Quinn whispered.

"Okay. Somebody needs to break the news to her." Lauren said firmly and Ruby felt all eyes on her, well specifically Puck but the stares made her a little uncomfortable.

"Uh-uh. Don't look at me." Puck told them defensively, "I mean, I'm cruel and all but that's just hardcore."  He shrugged before pulling the small girl in front of him and resting his chin on top of her head as they continued to listen to Artie.

"Right?! That's my point!" Artie exclaimed dramatically, "Remember when you were a kid, how excited you would get when you'd think about Santa Claus? How awesome it was? Christmas was the highlight of the year. Why wouldn't you want to keep someone's world magical for a little while longer?"

"How?" Puck whispered.

"I got it all figured out." he grinned at them brightly.

IF RUBY CARTER WAS BEING HONEST SHE WAS A BIT APPREHENSIVE ABOUT SITTING ON THE MALL SANTA'S LAP. But she was willing to do anything for the team and for dear Brittany and it was definitely worth it to see the happy smile on her face. Plus the added bonus of seeing the uncomfortable look on Puckerman's face as he took a perch on the middle aged man's lap after being forcibly dragged there by herself, was totally worth it!

Standing outside the grotto, Ruby was getting impatient. There were too many people about and she wanted to get home and head for dinner at Finn's, who somehow had managed to blag not coming to the mall with the rest of them.

"I'm not sitting in that guy's lap. Santa's laps always really warm and it's creepy." Quinn said quietly, she made a very good point and the others seemingly agreed.
